It's more than I expected them to show.
Except for the part where we still don't have a title. That kinda pisses me off.
Exactly my thoughts.

The graphics looked really good I wonder if it'll be that way at release. Also there does seem to be an emphasis on exploration. Uncharted worlds with day/night cycles. Found the footage on YouTube already.

Can we assume that this is taking place post ME3?
Not really, may as well be in the same timeline as the Trilogy, slighty earlier or whatever. This teaser really didn't tell us anything :/

Yeah I liked the clear day-night cycle on one of the plants. Another one look very much like upgraded brown UNC world from ME1

I would assume that if we're going to explore new places it wouldn't be a prequel or side story. Some of the areas looked ruined, as in post reaper war.

This part is really cool - "pick a planet, fly there and see what to discover." (http://www.engadget.com/2014/06/09/bioware-next-mass-effect-e3/ …) #MassEffect

Based on wat Casey said about 'contemporary stories' and the images, new IP may be either modern-day/slighty different or some sort post-apocalyptic, but not total waste like Fallout

Remember, this was conceptual prototypes, things aren't set in stone.

Guys, maybe it's just me and my overflowing feeling after witnessing this moment, BUT...
Please have a look at the video above and skip to the segment from 0:51 to 0:55... doesn't that look like one of Normandy's left engines, looked at from the rear?

I have often advocated for an dystopian Mass Effect setting, after a war that left the galaxy on flames life isn't just going to magically return to normal, it;s going to be a really crappy place to live for a long time.

Yeah, it's probably set post-ME3. Not necessarily in the same galaxy, though, I reckon.
"Moving forward" is a euphemism for a sequel.

The shot of the galaxy map.. The CIC is designed like the normandy, which was made with turian help.. So does this mean that this is perhaps a sequel or a spin-off?

Am hoping the images shown of the masked soldier in N7 armor are just concept images, cause honestly I don't know how I'd feel if this main character turned out to be another N7 Alliance soldier (that was kind of Shepard's thing, I feel).

Welp, got all hyped up for nothing. I think EA can take home the worst conference award

I got what I anticipated. A tiny sliver of Mass Effect, a good chunk of Dragon Age, and an amazing shot for Battlefront.

Here, have a look at this and my post above. IMHO, this looks like a shipwrecked Normandy (or Normandy-like ship, at least).
