I hope that 'new places' doesn't mean we won't be spending time in Citadel space...

 

Also, I don't think that looks like a krogan (it doesn't look like a yagh either), the hump seems small and it seems like it has a horn... or is it a redesign?

It doesn't necessarily. All it means is 'pick a spot, there's something there'.

 

Basically a return to ME1 (exploration) and ME2 (unique events) elements, with a next gen upgrade (dynamic, large).

 

It might mean we're done with Citadel space. Maybe. But what I mean is that you shouldn't rule it out yet.

Even if the game is like 500 years after ME3 the damage that the Reapers did was so big that it isn't far fetched to think some worlds are still in rebuilding or abandoned.

Besides that he didn't say if the game as a prequel or sequel but said they have a "cool plan" on how to do that.

I think I'm leaning towards the ark to another universe theory, although that seems like a cheap way to not have to commit to a canon ending.
