No one is saying that they are sure Ark Theory is correct. Personally, I would prefer it isn't in favor of something more imaginative, and NO ONE is certainly saying anything with the degree of certainty that you are. You have zero evidence to support your position. I hope you arent, but I am going to laugh so f'ing hard if you turn out to be wrong.

No more Ark Theory discussion here!

Time to give this thread's name some credit....

They are holding the Mass Effect panel at Denver Comic Con right now and a visitor just tweeted this:

So the Mass Effect vice actors claim to have no clue if they will be cast in Mass Effect 4. @DenverComicCon #DCCPanels

That's most likely true, IMO. But this leads to the question: Given they aim for a fall 2015 release, when do you think they'll do the voice acting? I have no clue how the timeframe might be.

Probably starting ten months prior to release *guestimation*

I'd also say that VA recordinga start about a Year before release. You also have to factor in that they won't be using the same VA for main roles, as they would be too recognizable. Maybe Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale will get some minor parts in it, but there's no way they'll voice something major.

If there are volus, vorcha or hanar in the next game, you bet Mark Meer will be on board for this project.

I would be surprised if Mark wasn't voicing something myself. He's been in both franchises so far.

I'm convinced he'll have a part, he's still Commander Shepard. But he won't have a major part, just as she didn't in DA.

There will be vorcha? If yes, then you can be sure Mark Meer will be there. :P

Well he was Tug in Leliana's Song that wasn't a small part, but not a main role either.

I'm not even sure he'll have a bit part in ME:N because he's synonymous with Cmmdr Shepard, they may decide on a clean break for the first game, presuming it's the first in a trilogy that is, they could well decide that his voice and name brings just too much baggage with it.

Meer sure ain't gonna be in ME4 with his Shepard voice but Volus/Vorcha and that kind of stuff is very likely.

He's been doing VA for bioware going back to BG2. A lot of what he's done I only know from looking up VA's. He can sound very different.

Just as an example of how this can work: Nolan North was the lead VA (as Drake) through the entire trilogy of Uncharted games. When they started doing the Last of Us, they asked him if he could do a minor/moderate villain role. He made his voice sound very creepy and evil and it fit perfectly, and I couldn't noticed it until I saw on interview on the game.

Manveer Heir @manveerheir

I think there are interesting points on both sides on showing stuff too early or waiting until you have a full announce for a game.

Barrett Rodych @ForgedPixels

We should just livestream our workstation desktops 24/7.

Manveer Heir @manveerheir

Then it would just be overhearing me going "God dammit Barrett" all the time

Barrett Rodych @ForgedPixels

That's fine, the internet needs more of that.

Jess Hara Campbell @jharacampbell

It's the context that really matters. I'm going with, 'God dammit, Barrett' because he's eating delicious cake

Barrett Rodych @ForgedPixels

Cake eating makes for the best livestreaming.

LiveStream from their workstations?

So I can feel even more like a perv, virtually watching over their shoulders?

- I'm all for it! Make it so!

Obviously, I don't expect them to make the next ME title soley about the adventures of a Rachni bounty hunter, but MP characters, or companion characters? Yes please.

Ummmm this would be amazing.

The rachni plot was so interesting in ME1 and then they kinda... forgot about it. I'd love to explore more of their culture, that scene with the queen on Noveria had such great writing.

Do we actually have a release window? I find it hard to believe it could be out next year.
