That's most likely true, IMO. But this leads to the question: Given they aim for a fall 2015 release, when do you think they'll do the voice acting? I have no clue how the timeframe might be.
Just as an example of how this can work: Nolan North was the lead VA (as Drake) through the entire trilogy of Uncharted games. When they started doing the Last of Us, they asked him if he could do a minor/moderate villain role. He made his voice sound very creepy and evil and it fit perfectly, and I couldn't noticed it until I saw on interview on the game.
True, I didn't know it was North until I saw his name in the credits.
It was the same with Jennifer Hale in Bioshock: Infinite. Although I played nearly 200 hours as FemShep in the trilogy, I didn't recognize her voicing Rosalind Lutece.
Do we actually have a release window? I find it hard to believe it could be out next year.
I find it hard to believe it wouldn't be. Dragon Age: Inquisition's development started in 2012, and ME:N's started in 2013. Based on that, it should easily be out by 2015. We've also been told that since ME:N has DA:I's development of Frostbite to start from, it should actually take a little less time to develop. So expect an almost definite 2015 release. Probably by Fall, but I'd even say a Winter 2015 release is possible.

So 2011 actually. In any case, it's been said that thanks to DA:I, ME:N had a head start and won't need so long to develop. I'll admit that Summer 2015 might be a bit early, but it won't come any later than Fall. I'm quite certain of this based on developer Tweets and press releases. A 2016 release is too long a development process to justify financially. Only a delay similar to the one ME3 had could push it back.

Makes me so thankful Bioware is committed to protagonist diversity as a matter of course, not something that's relegated to a "nice to have" list.

yeah, i may get ticked off w/BW abt stuffs now and again, but i do truly appreciate being able to create a woman PC that's saving the galaxy--a woman of color at that. And in a top notch, well produced, AAA, multi platform game.
it means alot. (and it's just fun having sum variety)
i loved AC4 black flag, but after that i was having a hard time being interested in going back to being trapped on land. lol! the glimpses i saw of ACU were feeling a lil...same-y, too. the co op doesn't interest me. something truly fresh woulda been cool.

It is always difficult for an established gaming IP like Assassins Creed and Mass Effect to do something completely fresh and new. The problem lies with that people do not want the same stuff all over again, but will complain that 'devs could have just as well started a new IP' when the new game looks completely different. This is an issue with the Next Mass Effect too: How much do they have to change before it does not feel like Mass Effect anymore for the gamer, and how much do they have to change in order for people to not blame Bioware for changing nothing at all?

Based off what I understood, it seems like that comment was for the new IP, not the next Mass Effect. It would also contradict Yanick's statement last year where he said they wanted to to a game similar to the previous Mass Effect games.

I never said it was about the Next ME
A new IP from a good developers is something that always has mi interest, but if it's an "MMO Style Game", I think I'll pass. Unless it's like Warframe (Completely playable on solo), in that case, I'll be looking forward to it.
ME3MP was a huge success, maybe BW aims for a game with this game mechanic and expands it just like Warframe ?
