Moved my desk to the corner. I'd take a picture but every wall around me has secret information I can't share.

In all seriousness though, I appreciate you can't share anything.

As a side note, I'd like to say how glad I am people are moving off-topic discussion out of the thread (finally).

On the topic of considerate criticism may I just add this: being blunt and rough with your criticisms is all well and good if you say it in a way that doesn't attempt to detract from the work put in (when people say 'lazy programming' and such is an example). Fan feedback directly to devs is meant to be semi-collaborative, not a show-and-get-booed bashfest. The devs (I assume) come to us for fresh perspective, a look at what we, as fans, think about a certain direction or feature; and if we don't like it, they would (once again, I assume) want to know why not, and how to fix it, given they agree, and not just that it's bad and that's it. Tone is key.

Also, if you're going to give criticism, make it actionable. Highlight the problem and a way to fix it, or give the recipient an avenue of thinking that is conducive to solutions. Simply drawing attention to a fault is not enough; if not consider X to be bad, how do you make it good, bearing in mind time and budget constraints, as well as the coding and time needed to be put into it?

--

Now, back to Twitter. These playtests sound really fun -- what's the attendance like? The whole office? For some reason I just imagine everybody in the office squeezing into a tiny conference room to watch someone play, cheering wildly when it all comes off well.

Hi, newbie here. I'm still trying to figure out the theme of this thread. So far I've got: twitter-stalking, teasing and master-level teasing, accusations of extreme off-toppicing (I suppose you'd need a proper topic for that, but I digress), and some more troll-teasing (trolleasing?) from the dev team (please do continue with all forms of trolling and teasing, it's awesome  B)).

If this is a "dear Mass Effect santa" thread, as some posts here seem to suggest: Please make Matriarch Aethyta a playable character with a special biotic power called Cheekiness Sound Wave. A unique power which would allow her to initiate a surge of chill snarkiness powerful enough to crush her opponents' internal organs just by talking to them. Also, her every sigle response needs to be renegade. Thanks a bunch.

If only I had known I would get such a prompt response, I would've asked for something a lot more realistic and just as easily attainable... like world peace. Opportunity wasted.

While I applaud the concept for the new power, I do feel the name just isn't visceral enough to appeal to the key demographics.  Might I suggest "Snark Thrust"?

We're going with Snark Blast, and it slows enemies due to the demoralizing effects it has. Even Reaper enemies like Banshees.

I prefer to see nothing and hear nothing for a long time. that way, you can hope things will turn out well because they're spending their time perfecting what they are making, and not just tryna make a new ME. this is appreciable. so thanks.

It's a manipulable projectile power, so you can also curve it around cover and such; a Snark Arc, if you will.

Curve around corners and such, heck sounds just like ME3 mp geth rocketeer missiles and Banshee warp balls.

I'm just blueskying here, but here's an icon concept: imagine the icon for Lash, but with a picture of Aethyta's face at it's snarkiest instead of the circle, and a picture of a Brute looking awful embrassed instead of the arrow.

Jos Hendriks @Sjosz

It is a Monday, it's not a holiday, yet I have trouble finding a designer on Mass Effect who is in to give me an opinion on logic I'm doing.

Jos Hendriks @Sjosz

The glory of this Monday being a day before Canada day.

Barrett Rodych @ForgedPixels

How about, "Your logic is bad and you should feel bad!" ?

That would be... logic for combat encounter design, or something else in the level?

Confirmed: ME:Next will include logic for something besides combat and levels!

I'm guessing.... A fully functional star-lemon squeezer!

Either that or the customization logic for the games main protagonist- perry the pyjak

Since we're thinking outside the box, maybe that tweet is a code for "Oh ma gaaad, guys, there will be Vulcans in ME4.

It is actually logic that's part of a level, but it is not a combat sequence. I suppose there's a bit of combat in there, too, but it's a much larger sequence, containing much more stuff, among which conversations.

Well, go ahead.

I already feel free to, I don't need to go ahead and feel more free. As for sharing the actual information, that's obviously not something I can do at this time. I still feel free to do so, though.  ;)
