I wanted to apologize to the people on this thread for getting my feelings flustered about the past and having a derailing post.

Hopefully it reignites into a warm flame because I would hate to see another sci-fi based game/anything bite the dust.

i hope so, too. though i doubt my personal proclivities would affect the franchise in any way. i want to be excited abt it for my own sake. lol!
perhaps, "hesitant" would be a better description. but i remain open minded. im willing to be wooed. ![]()

After two years and a half of release and one year and a half without any kind of support or update for MP it's really hard to keep the mood on. Much more after the "conceptual work" shown on E3. Don't get me wrong, I know developers are doing a great job and they are working as hard as they can, but the timespan is long now. After all, it's two years and a half and we don't even have a name for the creature.

Agreed. It's getting hard for me to be genuinely excited about more news. Interested and hopeful, sure. But excited? Not until it's guaranteed to be substantial.

Look, it's all understandable. Some people are excited, some people want to be excited but are unsure. All valid. I follow the thread here and others to see what the general sentiment is like, both for reference to my own work and to see what people think of the information out there.
End of the day, I'm a Mass Effect fan as much as anyone here, and I can empathize with the frustration at a lack of information. That is the framing of my own excitement in this situation, because there is more information to be shared. Nobody should feel obligated to be excited about that. I'm glad we're sharing some new information at SDCC, and I hope that when the information is out most (because it can't be all) of you are too.
Now I'm going to go have a weekend. Have a good weekend, everyone.

Given how worked up some people got over their own conjecture after E3, I don't blame BW for not sharing more at this point.

I think we owe it to Jos and all the others at BW for at least keeping us updated and letting us know that it is being diligently worked on every day!

Well, except for most weekends. And stat holidays. And Christmas breaks. And vacation time. And sick days. And zip-lining day. And er I mean DILIGENTLY EVERY DAY YES OF COURSE WE ARE ON IT *workworkwork*

Gotta cycle the squareheads from time to time. May or may not reflect actual mood at time of changing.

+1000.
I don't think you have anything to apologise for by the way. Not from what you posted on the last couple of pages anyway.
Re the con panel: I'm hopeful/excited, but also a little bit fearful. I'm a massive fan of the Mass Effect series. To me, it's the Star Trek of the video gaming generation. So it's got some very big shoes to fill. No pressure Jos and co. I know you guys are doing your best regardless of the outcome.

I'm also really curious what's being shown at SDCC. I've heard a little bit from one of the guys, but haven't actually seen anything myself. Intrigued!
Did you create that yourself, Barrett? It makes me laugh a lot, so thanks for creating and posting if so! ![]()

Hey Barrett and Jos, what are your opinions about the save file transfer? Should ME: Next have it or should the next game be a completely past-game free starting point?
