The delay of Dragon Age Inquisition could open up an opportunity to talk more about the next Mass Effect without overshadowing DA:I's release.
I am still very patient and can hold out until some point next year for revealing overall scope, but maybe a title annoucement at SDCC is a little more realistic now.

This may just be a quick note to the bioware store people but the new Liara statue has a typo. She isn't wielding the Acolyte but the Phalanx.
Don't know if this changes any marketing plans for the next Mass Effect, but DAI has been pushed back to November 18, which is after N7 Day, for those who didn't want to steal DAI's thunder, we now have a problem.

I don't think it was ever said that they can't start showing ME Next, or even reveal it, while DA:I is waiting to launch. The marketing periods of Origins and ME2 almost overlapped, they released only months apart.
That was just an assumption people made, but they've already started showing (small) teasers at E3 and probably Comic Con. I expect to see something on N7 day this year too.

In regards to SDCC, what are you guys expecting/hoping for? Personally, I don't think there'll be a reveal of any sort -- I think the guys there will just talk about the process and what it's like to work on the series, maybe dropping some hints. I'm putting my reveal eggs into the N7 day basket.
-Some hints
-Possible title
-Possible broad synopsis
-Best case --> Teaser trailer, title, protagonist info, 'stay tuned'
-Worst case --> Just some remarks that indicate the general direction they're going in
-Open to being surprised, but I'm not counting on it at this point (post-DAI will be when I'll be wanting info more badly)

I expect a longer teaser trailer, followed by a very vague talk, that manages to say nothing concrete what so ever, soooo, pretty much more of the same then.
