I'm very happy to hear the Mako is returning and that--possibly--we'll see some familiar faces.
A bit disappointed that we still don't have a title or even a vague release date over 2 years after ME3.

While I'm frustrated that we didn't learn all that much from SDCC, I probably should have expected it.
We should have expected to know more than what we went in with. Instead, we got told about them not making announcements, to stop calling the game ME4, and that it's not connected to Shepard... OH, and we know about the Mako.

They cannot possibly account for four different endings in a single game, especially when one of them sees every existing race die.
Not to mention some of the choices before the ending can be Galaxy changing

I'd wait for more information from attendees or Bioware before judging the panel. We got a few vague excerpts which- by themselves- appear to be some relatively meaningless or uninformative tidbits. I'm sure a lot more could be gleaned from the context surrounding them.
I'm interested in hearing how they're actually approaching development of the next game.
I mean, aside from whatever people hoped would be revealed, that was the focus of the panel - "charting a course" to making a new ME game.
After the feedback from ME3 frankly I'm just interested in how they're doing it this time around.

... or it's set in a different galaxy, literally.
That seems like a far more likely interpretation of that tweet.
I don't see how that is more likely that what I said.

The Mako was literally the only thing that is different than the E3 reveal.

It would not have been too much to tell us the setting and timeline without being ambiguous. Those things will have been locked in for MONTHS. I'll reserve final judgement until I can see the full panel for myself, but I'm not happy so far. I know the pre ME3 PR ended up giving people incorrect perceptions about what the final product will be Bioware, but you've gone from the extreme of saying too much to basically nothing at all. It's not cool, and by saying so little, you're allowing people to invent preconceptions in their heads which will turn out to be just as wrong as the ones they had before ME3 released. It's not a good way to treat your fans who have been loyally with you and buying your games for years.
I hope the next panel or event puts this right.

I don't see how that is more likely that what I said.
At E3 it was mentioned that ME Dentist takes place in (to paraphrase) a whole new region of space.
Mike Gamble has previously talked about wanting to recapture the "stranger in a strange land" feeling of the first ME, and that a big focus of the game is exploration and discovery.

I'm feeling alienated right now and for a lot of the fanbase that's not a good thing for Bioware.

I really enjoyed hearing/seeing from that panel, personally! Loved seeing the newly designed Mako, as well as the Male/Female armour customisation, along with the timeline hints. All very interesting! Well played, Bioware!

@NerdAppropriate Did they imply the next ME would take place in another galaxy?
Nerd Appropriate @NerdAppropriate
@Megin_Akoss They were cryptic. It did *sound* that way, but I have to check the audio.

In the ME lore, only 1% of the galaxy has been explored so far by all the races. There is plenty of the galaxy for that feeling.

Could it be possible that not everyone feels as alienated as you, though? The ten or twenty people who have posted here are certainly all "[rustling intensifies]" over wanting new information, but it's not like there's thousands of posts demanding new information daily.
I think some people really are just content to wait, or don't really care so much when they reveal things.
Not being snippy, just wondering.

Between that and the weird ass galaxy map, it does seem like the most likely explanation.
