Wanted to add my two cents to the possible travelling to another galaxy discussion.

It might just be me, but am I the only one that is curious what lies beyond the Citadel relay? Another Citadel in dark space or perhaps another galaxy?

Assuming it's a primary relay there should be a twin relay(Citadel) on the other side!

They meant that they want players to experience the series from a new perspective, they never said anything about Shepard being involved or appearing in the next game.

They've been trying to emphasise for two years or so that Shepard's story is over, I honestly wouldn't get your hopes up.

We'll see what eventually ships, but there have already been bugs like being able to drive straight up a flat wall. It's had a pretty entertaining development life so far.

Bioware haven't talked officially about new species until yesterday.

Does anyone else get the feeling they're taking the franchise in a whole new direction? The fact that Gamble even had to say "aliens players are familiar with will appear in the game" - as if there were doubts there would be. Does this mean only SOME of them will return? The comments on combat make me feel uneasy too, "I wouldn't say there's no combat, combat is an important part of exploration".

 

Like I've said before, I'm all for exploration - but it just seems like they want to scrap everything they've already done and not just move on but move really really far away and treat this as if it's a reboot. That's something I really don't want. I want a continuation of what we have with new stuff. I want to explore new places, but I want to return to familiar places. I want new species, but I want the old species too.

 

I wish they'd give us something so that I can stop worrying about whether or not my favourite franchise is going to be FUBAR.

in that tumblr post--thank you for posting the link!--they mentioned that Gamble said "Galaxies". Plural.  And that's when someone asked if ME4 (yeah, i said it) was taking place in another galaxy. At which point Gamble turtled up.  Sooo, maybe not necessarily completely in another galaxy, rather......multiple galaxies?

 

Mako. God yes! I've missed you my lil turnip. Even tho it's not combat fitted....I'm okay with that. Just means maybe that I can actually explore without being jumped? I hope we have sum squaddie banter in the Mako. As we're driving about. Lil one liners that we can hear as we drive around. I would like that.

 

Customization of casual wear, too? Cool. And I really really hope we can customize more than sum friggin' belts and lights on our armor. lmao!

 

My Hero had a connection to N7. Had, or Has? Hmm. And idk how I feel about that. I was hoping not to be a soldier working for the alliance again. A lil Shepard 2.0-y. When I saw the E3 thing w/the N7 armor I thought maybe they scavenged the armor cuz it was useful. This without any initial understanding of what N7 may truly mean.

 

Or it is that whole N7 nickname thing for volunteers?

I am concerned, though. This talk of ME4 being a sidequel/during Shep's lifetime, etc. This does not sound "Clever" to me. Do sum major characters from the main triology pop in to give us sum advice and good old military pep talk as we go about our way? Is that why sum old characters may show up?

 

I know it's just talk, but these ppl were there at the panel, and this the impression they got. It's not confirmed, but I feel like I've been down this road before. Ppl saying it's not confirmed, it's not confirmed---and then it was.

 

So, what? Are we gonna be off looking for sum other way to defeat the Reapers? While Shep is busy playing politics?

 

And is this all really gonna take---4---5 years to make? A sidequel?

 

I hope it ain't so.

I really hope the whole side story during Shepard's lifetime rumor isn't true. What a truly, truly terrible idea.
