Mako's the size of a tank, but relatively as fast as a race car. its going like 700mph. looks fun if not totes silly.
Eh, it has a decent top speed, no endless looking at a horizon without making headway.

Why? It's not like the reapers can't pass in a new Galaxy.
They ''live'' in the Dark Space between Galaxies, so they should be able to Galaxy hop.

Star Trek did it (Voyager, DS9 a bit), Stargate did it twice (SGA and SGU), BSG did it (kinda).
It's no problem as long as you bring enough old stuff into the new world for fans to recognise and it is an excellent start for something new.
