Why wouldn't you want the MAKO to drive like this? Do you understand how powerful we'll be. We'd be able to break the laws of time and space, bringing each and every enemy to their knees.
I'll put in the feature request.

Just watched the panel video. Judging by what those guys are saying, I'll have gone grey before this thing is released.
I don't think it'll be that simple as a lot of the stuff that mass effect recognizable will be gone for good.Star Trek did it (Voyager, DS9 a bit), Stargate did it twice (SGA and SGU), BSG did it (kinda).
It's no problem as long as you bring enough old stuff into the new world for fans to recognise and it is an excellent start for something new.
Not really, a dinfinitive outcome is be much better than having several outcomes that are left ambiguous. We've done that, it was called ME3, there is no mystery. There's no need to revisit it if they go to new galaxy.
Can it go FTL in reverse?I'll put in the feature request.
BioWare is ship going to be bigger than SR-2?
208/375. BioWare Montreal beach towels! Krogan awesomeness! ![]()

It is a struggle to get through this panel because the audio quality is so poor.
Yes, that is true. Bioware said they had recorded the panel and they were going to put it up soonTM
At least we got confirmation of the main things we heard: game being years away, spiritual successor, never hearing his say within Shepard's lifetime, but instead saying that Shepard isn't an essential part of this story and going to explore new stuff and to draw our assumptions from that, for now.
Make sure you mention the infinite top speed when reversing, otherwise preorder cancelled.I'll put in the feature request.

It didn't help that the two devs on the right didn't get the hint when the guy moved their microphones closer to them. In response, they leaned back a few feet for most of the panel--as if the mics were Reaper tech. ![]()
So, again (maybe because of the poor sound), I have no idea what this panel was about. I expected more insight into how "we" have gotten to this point in the creation of the next Mass Effect game. I guess I was expecting more about how they took their experiences from Mass Effect 3 (and it's Extended Cut) and after all the dust had settled, they were able to start anew on a new adventure. Maybe I read to much into the title of the panel.
Right now, we know more about the Mako than we do the protagonist.
WHAT MODEL IS THE MAKO?! IS IT ALLIANCE ISSUE? OR CAN MAKO BE SOLD BE PRIVATE ENTERPRISES!?
oh God! so many #Makoquestions!

I haven't gone through the whole thing yet myself, but I didn't hear anything much about setting either, certainly nothing to substantiate the new galaxy rumor.
I don't know what to make of the "years away" comment. We were told only recently that the development process is somewhere near halfway. That implies a late 2015 or early 2016 release. I can't see it coming any later than mid 2016. Unless they've only just recently decided to abandon what they were doing and start again.
I still don't buy "years away". Vague, wishy washy statement that in my opinion aims to deflect hype/anticipation when BioWare/EA simply isn't ready to talk about or reveal a heap of stuff that technically could be. It's easy to look at an untextured Mako 2.0 bounce around a snowy tundra and assume the game is a million years away. What BioWare actually has up and running and deep in production is no doubt very different to what they've shown publicly. Like people commenting on the lack of weaponry on the Mako 2.0, what's to say such weaponry doesn't already exist in multiple forms, has been implemented, used, and is customisable for internal builds and they simply chose not to show it? We've seen one planet, part of one planet, how many more are already playable? We haven't even seen a character walk around, but it's implied such game systems are up and running.

Thank you for sharing this - I was worried I was the only one having the audio issues due to my laptop having the emotional stability of a jilted 16-year old. But from what I managed to catch from the panel and comparing it to the transcript, it seems to be a really accurate transcript. It also seems that:
- the "years away" comment was just a supposition made on part of a journalist
- the "within Shepards lifetime" was just a supposition made on part of a journalist
which is kind of great to find out. You are more than welcome to correct me if I am in any way wrong.
On the overall, the panel really has me excited; some real neat stuff was touched upon, like, for example, the "cloth" non-combat armor, the idea/ability of "layering" your armor - is it just me who finds this sort of stuff super interesting? They talk about customization a lot, but on that I am more inclined to expect something in the vein of ME3, where you were able to equip different types and "weights" of armor depending on what skills you were developing (e.g. my Shep wore something that had cloth sleeves, which made me think she wore a hoodie underneath all the other plating). In any case, really interesting. But then again, I *am* the kind of person who would be more than happy to do nothing all day but look at various bits of armor and wonder what they are for.
Hopefully now the hearsay will end (it won't but I'm an optimist) with the video and this write-up.

The bolded is actually true. If you watch the video of the panel you'll hear Michael Gamble say it. The other one is correct though ![]()
