What's cheesy about the Cortez death scene? The only memorable one for me was Vega who goes berserk. I thought it was well done.

Hey Barrett do you have any of the current systems? Like the Wii and Wii U?

I have a Wii, got it the week it released. My gf at the time worked in games retail  (got dibs on all the cool things muhaha). Played a bunch of Sports, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, haven't touched it since. I'm pretty exclusively PC at home now.

I think it's actually worse when he doesn't die, because it goes straight from, "STEEEEEVE!!!" to a dead calm, "you're sure?"  It's very jarring.

I wouldn't call it jarring exactly, but it doesn't go together very well.

Will we ever get the rest of ME3's DLC for the Wii U though? I was going to buy it just to see how it plays.

Not sure. I wasn't on that project, but I heard a lot about it. Interesting times. If the rest were to be released, I'm not sure we'd handle it in-house per se; too much new/latest projects need our time & effort!

I wouldn't hold your breath.

Unless they decided to release complete trilogy sets for One/PS4, which might lead them to throw all the DLC into a package for the Wii U.

Since ME3 didn't sell well on the WiiU, it's not surprising that none of the DLC has been released for that platform.

Suddenly having companions react in that fashion with no build up all was bizarre.  If they wanted to let the player have a renegade, paragon interupt and react it would have been fine.  The voice acting lines they gave was way over the top. Especially the ARGHHHH!  It felt totally out of place for me.  The death itself also didn't do credit to the character.  A cutscene showing Steve inside the shuttle being hit then saying he was going down would have had some power to it, not just  random fly by and I've been hit!

Oh well, I guess I'll keep ME on my computer and play Metroid on the Wii U then.

I have a Wii U, but I was never tempted to thrown down on the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3. I can't do the games without a complete series playthrough, no matter the marketing pitches. It's what compelled me to buy an Xbox 360 when Mass Effect 2 -- and only Mass Effect 2 -- was en route to PS3 back in the day, too.

 

Still, I'm just one person. If fellow fans were cool with running through ME3 without continuity to its predecessors on that system, then that's how they rolled, and it's a damn shame they'll never have the chance to access Leviathan, Omega, or Citadel. Combined, those three really improve the game. Hell, Citadel alone is phenomenal.

 

As it stands, Mass Effect on Nintendo platforms is essentially a third of a serving of a pie, minus the crust.

Yep, and Allan commented in the Inquisition twitter thread that Jos is working on the next Mass Effect game as well. While it's entirely worth consideration that perhaps Allan is not personally privy to what Jos is going to be there for, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he does know, and since there have been a few little teasers strewn throughout for "NME" lately, including that neat little Mako gig at SDCC...

 

...here's hoping!
