True. Then again, while there was plenty of criticism going around the Internet, I saw very few instances of it in public. Mostly questions concerning their thoughts/comments about the endings. The people at the conventions were really respectful and kept their cool, even though some of them probably had long critiques and bad comments about the endings. I guess this just proves that people feel more free and feel their actions have less consequences on the Internet compared to real life interaction. Contrary to what was being said on the forums back then, I'm sure 99.9999999% of the fanbase never have expressed that level of hatred in public, in front of the very people who made the game.

It's called civilization.  It seems as though you're calling out fans who weren't overtly rude to someone, like they 'didn't have the guts'.  Weird angle to take on that pop fly, friend.

That's true. I don't know if my angle made you interpret it that way, but if you did that was not my intention. Of course no one would have said/done what happened on those forums directly in public. There were a lot of people who had some very harsh and borderline offensive comments. My point, like you said, was that thankfully people retained their civilization in public, and I'm glad everyone realized that, because based off what I was reading back in those days, well let's just say it wasn't pretty. 

 

If anything, it was Bioware who had the greater guts of all of us, and maybe Mike Gamble in particular. Going out there, keeping a cool head, trying to forget that the game they worked so hard on was being ripped to shreds by just about everybody. As I think Admiral Hackett put it: ''They were able to take the heat''

It would be funny to have a DA panel and then Jos sits down instead of the panelists. He just sits there drinking water for a couple minutes leading up to the actual thing. Then he leans to the mic:

THANK YOU! Not every game needs to be a co-op orgy, folks!  Co-op is like the cranberry of gameplay: Stop trying to put it in my apple juice! I want APPLE juice, not cran-apple!
