I never knew what Devs, game makers and all had for schedules.  I know you can't force creativity, either.  Seems like a pretty tough job.

From a game standpoint, I know that ME2's opening was built to grab your attention. We wanted people playing to be immediately engaged with what is going on, and wanting to see what's next. It pulls more people through more of the game that way.
