I have to agree. Timeline would be too major, although if I had to pick anything to know about the next Mass Effect it would be it.

I'd like to see some weapons and/or architecture. I'd say vistas would be too generic...

I'd like to see more of that, too. Well, the architecture at any rate. But we're not getting anything close to seeing weapons or combat or any meat and potatoes (as tonymac put it).

So, I hope we At Least get to see sum vistas.

If I had things my way, we'd see a name; timeline; sum characters; sum combat; sum planets; the ship.....

I think architecture would be safe enuf. Sum vistas with sum architecture. I doubt we get anything beyond that. And I'm doubtful we even get that much, tbh.

Sounds like N7 Day for mediumish (maybe small, mayyybe large) news, and that's about it, as they focus on getting as many Dragon Age: Inquisition attention and sales as possible for the holiday season.

On the Austin front, it'll be about SWTOR: Shadow of Revan.

~~~
2015 will definitely be about the next Mass Effect and Shadow Realms (Austin). (Also SWTOR large updates, Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC/expansion, news of New IP).
For funsies, I speculate that 2016 will be about next Mass Effect/DLC/expansion, Dragon Age news if Inquisition was a success, SWTOR expansion if its still going on, the New IP, and Shadow Realms updates.
~~~

Anyway, yeah, I'll give em Oct-Dec to push Inquisition out :). I just hope we get a Mass Effect focus sooner (Winter-Spring 2015) rather than later (Summer-Fall).

I'm excited I've my own panel @HonorCon, it's "Science Fiction in Videogames: From Spacewar to Mass Effect 4" :D my copanelist is @RDansky

Well, with a bit of luck, we might get some news there too.

None of those people work for Bioware, though.

They're just random gamers talking about science fiction games and using the next Mass Effect as an example.

Good point - we likely will see nothing new from them.  I don;t see how they will know anything at all.

They should take at least two more years to perfect the game. That's how long it took from Dragon Age 2 to Dragon Age Inquisition and from ME1 to ME2. Only a little more than one year has passed since ME3 release, they need much more time

ME3 was release in March 2012, exactly one year after DA2.

Mass Effect 3 released in March 2012. It's now October 2014.

That's two and a half years, which is already longer than the time between ME-ME2 and ME2-ME3, not to mention Dragon Age: Origins and DA2. Inquisition will take three and a half years, but that was delayed by a year.

So ME: Next already has a long development time, by recent standards - and it might not come out until next year or even later.

And let us not forget about the full year's worth of DLC that came after ME3 released.

I would say the next ME game will be released in spring of 2016. That's my guess anyways. Maybe on march 6th 2016 marking  4 years since ME3 was released

If its any later than the first 1/4-1/2 of 2016, I'll be annoyed at how long it has taken.

I'd personally prefer it to be a 2015 holiday purchase.

I can accept it being not earlier in 2015. I get it. Though by some point in earlier 2015, I'll hope for the Mass Effect hype to at least begin to start up again. :P

No way in hell should it be 2017.

Late 2015-Early 2016 is an okay range until BW says otherwise. 1-1.5 years from now. Pleasantly surprised if earlier. Annoyingly surprised if later.

I want 2015 to be the year I start getting constantly excited about Mass Effect again. 2013 only had some of that, and 2014 dropped it off.

The way I see it, they should work on quality.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I thought ME3 was rushed.  I'd prefer to wait and pay a little more for a product than purchase one that was churned out.

Exactly. Bioware should take as long as they need to.

I really don't care if they take their sweet ass time, I just want to know about the setting honestly.
