The only slight problem is that unlike Leviathan, I can't see us having the option to back out and play through the main story for a while.

That is, unless the alleged Omega Hub is accessible right after the first Omega mission. That'd allow Shepard to leave for a while, while Aria's forces establish a foothold.

Yeah, that's where my wait-and-see approach stems from -- thoughts like those. Really, with some DLC I've found I need a trial run to fully decide on where I'll do it in future plays.

Case in point: ME1's very-subpar Pinnacle Station. I originally thought there'd be more story to it, so I waited until late into the game. When I learned it really was just that straightforward, I decided it'd be best from a narrative perspective to tackle much earlier on, in the game's more open-feeling portions.

I loved the way, you had to play LAIR, Arival and Overlord in one shot, it adds a lot to the atmosphere.
Was kinda annoying with Leviathan to be back at the galaxy map everytime again, it wiped out the feeling of being under pressure.

In Me2, im just trying to do the DLCs before flying to the derelicted reaper, cause after that is a coinflip if you are able to do it before getting attacked and have to attack collectors base immediatly to avoid Kellys death.
And if you are doing so, you have to be careful cause A divided house usually is not done and problay Legion dies during the mission (cause i use him most of the time... so sad he had his apperance at such a late point in the game. Would have loved to play with him in ME 3.

:pinched:
From Ashes is usually the first thing i do when you are able to fly around with Normandy, cause Jarvik is just such a nice and happy guy. I think Leviathan is better done after you have all you squadmates, before that you have plenty other stuff you can do, and the party banter is just great so having the option to use whoever you wanna take with you is great.

I love trying to figure out where things feel better, story-wise as well.

In ME2 I always did Normandy Crash Site first, followed by three story missions, followed by Kasumi, then another recruitment mission, then Horizon, after that a few side missions to make it feel like "everyday work" on the Normandy.
Afterwards I progress through the story until the Collector Ship, after that I go through Overlord to cast even more doubt about the Illusive Man and Cerberus (the way I role-play anyway).
I then alternate between side-missions and story missions until I get to the Derelict Reaper, after which I just run through until the Collector Base.
Following the game's "end" I play through LotSB and then Arrival.

If Leviathan and the DLC's that follow it let me structure the story in an even more believable manner, I am going to have a blast with it.

Ahh! Damn you economic recession :P

I do the same for ME2, except I play Overlord pre-Horizon. Your point re: Illusive Man is well taken though; sounds like your Shep is similar to mine in that regard. I may do it post-Ship next time...

Leviathan feels right anywhere between Rannoch and the Cerberus base; I personally did it right before Thessia.

The Omega DLC, if it does feature a hub, will probably be best played during the beginning parts of the game (or after the coup). Not much point doing it late since there isn't enough game for you to regularly visit the hub.

I get the feeling we both play a Paragon reluctant to work with Cerberus and get angry when we see their other face. The one that's not so much "protection and service" as it is "racism and Reaper tech probing".

I tend to play ME games as a bit of a "White Knight with an attitude" kind of character. Listening to my crew's opinions and always staying true to my moral code. Then balance that out with shooting the gas pipe in ME2 on Mordin's mission or punching Han'Gerrel after the Geth Dreadnought.

That will depend entirely if it features a "Campaign for Omega" type of thing. I picture it envolving you taking back Omega itself as the first two missions with the rest being about you taking the Omega 4 relay and stamping out Cerberus from the area where the Collector Base used to be. Sort of like a Cerberus-centered Rannoch. This would give our final choice in ME2 a great opportunity to shine and let us see the effects of our actions, the keyword being "see".

This could also have a few extra lines during the assault on Chronos Station and for the rest of the game. We could also have a poker game after the DLC, to comemorate the victory over Cerberus.

I have been dying to use that thing:pinched:

Yeah, it's odd. I mean, you can have a shower with Samantha but not play a little poker in the lobby?! COME. ON!

Agree. Leviathan is best played after Thessia because of the crucible's true nature being revealed by the prothean VI.
And Omega should open after the Cerberus Coup....It wouldn't make much sense for Aria stay on the Citadel during the Cerberus attack

New DLC for the multiplayer or maybe the next single player DLC?

I have seen some people in this thread talking about whether or not ME1 could be brought to another system (PS3), and most of you keep saying that it won't happen because Microsoft was the publisher. But didn't EA publish the PC version? Wouldn't that mean that MS gave up the IP to EA? Or couldn't EA just port the PC version and get off scot free?

Either way, I don't want to derail the thread or anything like that, so don't linger on this topic.

So, Paragade? That's similar to my playstyle, but there are some Renegade things I can't justify, like throwing the Merc out of the window in ME2.

Sort of, but with a lot less Renegade.

I threw him out on occasion, when I decided Shepard was just feeling pissed off.

TECHNICALLY your asinine suggestion, and the truckload of menial labor it entails, is good game design. TECHNICALLY.

Almost sure they're talking Omega. Writing and Weeks = SP DLC.

I'm quite sure they're prepping new faction for both new MP DLC and Omega (Adjutans will obviously be included). Perhaps they will be all failed Cerberus experiments?

Wait, so is Jos working on Single-Player content now?

Since there are obviously no dialogues in MP DLC, it sure seems like he's working on Omega :D:D:D

Maybe an announcement at the end of September/early October?

One can hope, I need a new SP DLC fix for ME3, because Armored Kill will be and Hearthfire is doing its job to keep me busy before HALO4:D:D:D.

I'm an idiot. I posted that Tweet on the previous page, but neglected to read the "with writing" part. :pinched:

An announcement would awesome, but it's only been two weeks since Leviathan. It seems way too early, unless they decided to change from the norm of announcing DLC one month before release.
