Dragon Age MP vibes anyone?

He's easing expectations for tomorrow, but ... yeah, basically.

Some people might want the convenience of consoles without the whole fuss to install and set up the better graphics.

You can do all those on PC, like getting a controller set up, installing ME3 explorer so you can tinker with the game, and that's what I did (minus the controller). It's just that a remaster for consoles could give your average joe who wouldn't bother with learning how to set this all up an opportunity to do what PC players have been getting for years, like new costumes and better graphics.

it's not really a hassle is it...?

With the current-gen consoles (on XBO at least) you have to install games onto the HDD anyway and I doubt you'd get the same DL speeds as you do on Origin. Mods take about 5 seconds to install and you don't need them for a better looking game anyway.

Playing on PC is pretty convenient too. I turn on my PC, it boots in 10 seconds and I launch ME3. Simples.

I want to play it on my PS4 because I want to play it on my PS4.

Why though? It's going to be exactly the same as the PS3/X360 version with maybe a higher framerate and slightly better graphics. And you'll be paying the same price, if not more, as the PC version.

Unless you have a below-average PC, which is understandable I guess.

I own the PC version of all 3 games. I still want a collection for the next-gen console for reasons which may include:

I prefer playing it in my living room on my TV (please don't bring up the "you can do that on PC" stuff. I can't in my situation)

It will include all the DLC

It may come in an awesome collector's case

Graphical improvements to console version

New trophies means another reason to do series replays

"The thing I'd love to hear from people is what you'd like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):

- 1080p
- 60 fps
- High res textures, especially on ME1
- Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
- All the DLC
- "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.

Agree / disagree? What else?

Bear in mind this is a "wish list" at this point..."

What do you say, BSN?

With PC's you to make sure your PC has the right requirements in order to play the game, playing on a console means you don't have to worry about set up since you know the console can run it.

I agree with the fact that PC is superior and better in most respects to consoles. It's my personal go-to gaming device.

My point being was that a console is more convinient for your average consumer than PC, even though the effort to get it to work on PC isn't that great, like you said.

Stuff like installing graphics mods and new costumes do involve some work on PC. Getting ME3 Explorer to cooperate can be a hassle. Multiple methods, from Texmod, to installers, etc. also exist. Then you have to make sure there are no compatibility issues. And if one mod needs Texmod and the other ME3 Explorer, well good luck.

And like you said, installing the mods takes just a few minutes, but that's only if you know what you're doing. Learning the different modding systems, technics, and types of files took me some time, but that's time most people aren't willing to invest if they can have it in a more accessible form, like with a console remaster.

I agree it isn't that much of a hassle, since I've done it myself. However, even describing the steps and doing the research is way too much for some people. Most of them just want stuff to work, without set ups or tutorials. Console remasters would give that accessibilty they want, and that's why they go for it.

Back for N7 day! Hype abounds. I'm expecting some more concept art and a few screenshots, along with some teases on the setting. (Similar to SDCC)

Can I just say that if they do release a next-gen version of the trilogy and it has some neat updated graphics (especially for ME1) then I hope it gets released for PC as well. Sure, we have good-looking games now, but they (especially ME1) could be even better looking, so if they put in the effort to make them as gorgeous as they can now I would hope that the PC crowd get a piece of that action too.

I have to agree with EliteBrit... You can still buy the ME trilogy for PS360. A remastered edition isn't going to look/play much differently.

You say it will include all the DLC? Guaranteed? Well I've seen the DLC go on sale quite a few times on XBL and PSN for 50% off. So buy the DLC for a game you might already own for about ~$20... Or drop another $60 (I'm assuming) for the game again with slight visual upgrades and to get the DLC.

So really the only benefit I see of a remastered edition is for those A) Who never played it, B) those who only own a next gen consoles (sorry Wii U womp womp), and C) who don't have a PC to run fancy mods.

If you own last gen consoles, the trilogy is readily available for those to own. I just don't see the necessity to allocate resources and money to a remastering. Now titles like Skies of Arcadia... That needs a remastering...erm-cough, sorry, wishful thinking.

Anywho, this is my opinion. Don't let me kill your vibe. N7Day is upon us and look to share in the merriment with you lot.

They could, if a re-master to the newer generation consoles is an option
