I enjoyed that, pretty much what I expected, and nice to hear the games progressing well enough that they "should" be able to show us something more concrete in the coming months.

And now i feel like the dock worker on Horizon: I'm done with you alliance types.
Thinking maybe those pyramid structures were supposed to be inside the space station pictured in the dust cloud? Similar themes.
"Hey guys we don't have the Citadel on the game but we have something that's almost an exact copy of it!"
I was actually bored.
Only really interesting part to me was part of an offhand comment: "ship of memories"
The pics were okay.
IMO we're at the point of info in 2014 that I would have wanted us to be in 2013, so I'm not too happy. Not angry-smashy-entitled, but just a little sad.
The highest grade of training, N6, provides actual combat experience in combat zones throughout the galaxy. If the trainee survives these scenarios in "admirable and effective fashion," he or she finally receives the coveted N7 designation. N7 is the only ICT designation that may be worn on field or dress uniforms.
The best part was this line by Yannick:
"We'll have a lot more to show you in the coming months, hopefully."

There's an outside chance that there'll be a trailer at whatever the Spike VGAs are called now, since Bioware have done so in the past. Though whether or not there's even a VGA show this year after the last one is still up in the air, as far as I know.
The tech the hero is using looks interesting as well.
Zoom in on the hero picture guys take aa good look at his left arm. It's a tentacle or at least snake like.

Well yeah there's a lot to hope for, and that's the bright spot of all this.
1)DAI will be out, so no need to emphasize it anymore (I mean really, I cringed when it was happening in the N7 stream).
2)Holiday season so it wouldn't hurt to keep the Bioware brand in people's heads even if a Mass Effect game itself isn't being released.
3)Early next year will be 3 years since ME3. Three years. At that point, it really makes no sense to still be stuck with the smallest of 'conceptual prototypes' and concept art and sneaky word teasing.
4)It is almost guaranteed that even if the next half year doesn't give us anything, E3 will have Mass Effect. It just has to.
So new information, and potentially substantial information, will almost definitely come in the next several months. We're at the point where it'd be an outright bad sign if they don't ramp the marketing up at all. Typically we'd know a good bit (aka the premise and some new features) a year before a BW game is released.
Conclusions I drew from art and presentation:
1) Citadel is gone at least as far as the story is concerned even if it still exists somewhere. New hub to be reminiscent of Citadel. Perhaps this is after the Reaper War and a new seat of Galactic Government has been built.
2) Protagonist is human (I am actually happy with that)
3) Old species will return. Salarians confirmed a while back. Krogan too, based on an earlier concept. Turians and Asari as well, no doubt. At least two new species.
4) They specifically talked about "the" galaxy, as if it were the Milky Way. I have never put credence in the idea it would be a different galaxy. This casual mention of "the" galaxy, without any thought put into it, seems to point to the Milky Way.
5) Squad mate system as in previous games. Seems like they will be working on developing squad mate/protagonist relations more, perhaps along lines of approve/disapprove.
6) I am betting the species associated with the tombs will have a more angular, machine like look to it. (Collector=bugs, Collector Ship=hive.)
I'm serious his left arm has no hand and the forearm looks like an S shape.
Edit: The pyramid structure pic has large machines in it as well. They look big and bipedal.
I like some of the artwork shown today I just hope they can stick to the time line of a few months to show something to us

Yeah, I'm hoping (expecting?) that they'll do this.
What did they say about the first two images with Mako? I missed the start of the stream ![]()
A few takeaways from the stream.

To me, it looks like he's got an arm, but he's holding a rifle.

A pistol/shotgun, I think
When they talked about the last picture, there were strong hints that we could explore space, as in actually flying our own ship.
Did anybody else get that impression or am I imagining things?

*Goes over to Mac Walters' place*
Mac Walters: This is excitement, This is is concept art.
Me: THIS, IS, SPARTAAAAAAAAAA!

Could be, but it's not a definite; whenever the Normandy landed or docked anywhere, there was a cutscene, so this might just be concept art for a similar thing,

I didn't get that impression myself, but maybe I missed it. I wouldn't expect manual space flight, though, what with the heavy focus on planetary exploration.
- The chat stream was brutal, full of entitlement and the usual 'gay hate' / 'ME3 endings' noise.
Sadly I can see such hate accompanying any ME-next news all the way through to release - it's not going away until replaced by success.
I wouldn't worry too much about that - Twitch chat is always full of immature people posting hateful and offensive comments. It's like the worst Youtube comments broken down into single sentences and posted repeatedly again and again. Most of the time you're better off ignoring it altogether, unless you've found a nice streamer with less than a thousand viewers or something ![]()
Hah, nice. I'm actually surprised no one's done this with a ME character before now ![]()
