If it was the same as the previous three games, why would he say "these days"? Frostbite engine? Maybe. There's not really so much you can do with a dual planar axis though, except for put a new background on it. Something's up, guess we just don't know what though.
I'm just spitballing, hoping that somebody at BioWare will slip. 
I just hope they also update the galaxy map (that one with the Alliance space being 1/3 of the whole council space was pretty bad). 
And to think I helped build 2 of those.

I'm already getting way too excited about the Mako. I loved that thing in ME1 (which I'd never even played until about 4 months ago). A Mako in explorable areas combined with feedback about both of those things from previous BioWare titles? Hell yes!

I need to go back and play more Mass Effect today. I apparently missed out on a bunch of stuff that's in there right now.
No shameful tease tweeting this time though. Can't torture you every day.
Okay so maybe a little bit. I did some more driving around in the Mako. Had to do some thinking and exploring to get to certain structures.
It's nice trying to read the landscape and figure out where to go. And then I saw a couple more cool things I can't really detail right now.
And the new Mako is nimbler. In a good way.
