Hoping for Holidays 2015, praying for Holidays 2016. I know, it sounds odd... But I want this game to be perfect -- With facial animations and all.

I wonder if they improved upon character animations/movements/clipping in the next game based on what the previous ones did. A total immersion breaker when you see a characters arms or something go right through their own body (Fortack comes to mind immediately) ![]()

I do remember a tweet saying they were using EA brand new motion capture facilities, so there is hope.
Regardless, games with the scope of Mass Effect, where you have multiple races and dozen upon dozens of hours of dialogue, animation can be a problem. Especially because we're living in a time that certains game push it to incredible levels of realism. So it's something that deserves consideration.

With the appearance customisation that ME and DA have, and the sheer amount of cutscenes compared to other games, I imagine it's not worth employing dozens of animators to go through and make everything absolutely perfect. It's just one of those quirks, like lip-syncing being slightly off, that come with the territory of being a huge RPG with a lot of player customisation.
Maybe one day if the technology improves, but I don't think we can realistically expect it to be like CoD's rendered cutscenes, since those teams have ludicrous amounts of money and also control every aspect of the animation.

I agree it does deserve some consideration especially considering the time and effort that goes into such things anyway. I just think that some obvious things could be fixed up based on what previous games did but i probably wont be too bothered if not, will probably be busy enjoying the game first ![]()

Unfortunately, I think Holiday 2015 release is looking increasingly unlucky. Since we didn't get anything major in terms of info in 2014, the game is probably still a ways off. I'm leaning towards Spring 2016 to coincide with the 4 year anniversary of ME3.
A long wait awaits us

I feel the same bro. I was so excited for DAI for two years. Finally played it, happy, and straight after my focus shifted towards ME4. Is it too much to ask just to be...content?

I'm on my 3rd playthrough of Inquisition at the moment. And I love it and everything, but I need Mass Effect in my life. At least something more substantial than "Oh we have a new Mako and it doesn't drive like ****" or conceptual prototypes.
Just...show it to meeeeee. Tease me! Play with my feelings!

Loved DAI myself. But holding off my second playthough till there is actually party banter, as the companions is very important to me. One thing I prefer with ME series (and DA2 for that matter) is the focus on companions/squads. Makes it feel more real.
I want to be played with/used/teased. BW, more info, please. We love you.

Thankfully, I didn't have any problems with the party banter and music. Sera, Vivienne and Dorian were my full time posse and they were amazing together. Sera trolling, and Vivi effortless countering EVERYTHING. Beautiful. Oh, and speaking of the music...when you're walking in the Hissing Wastes and see that huge moon, then that song starts playing...damn.
Christmas needs to just go away already. Unless Bioware decides to give us a present. Now that would be awfully nice of them.
