It is quite strange. Also the continuing silence. I mean, you'd think that in these post ME3 years the game gap would be filled with other media such as comics or even another anime. The Mass Effect Library edition Vol 2 is up for pre-order but I didn't see a news article on it (admittedly I didn't look very hard for one). Also, weren't we going to get the that last ME novel re-written? What became of that?

 

I'm just saying that, like Star Wars, the franchise could be a floggable horse. Was it really so damaged by the ME 3 ending that people have abandoned it? Or is it a case of Bioware distancing themselves with the old, a marketing silence for now which will ramp up as we get closer to the next ME and it's Relay opening themes?

Nah, Bioware is taking their time. The Next Mass Effect is in development, but I don't think they need to tweet to say "Going to test the new ME now". Just a Teaser from Jos on Twitter that made this. It's in development. When they are ready and when it's ready, they're going to release a Teaser, a tweet or even something else.

 

About the Deception Novel, no. We don't have any news on that subject... They said they were going to rewrite it, but that was the latest news we ever heard of this novel.

It was nearly three years ago. There's not going to be a rewrite.

It's not Bioware's book. If the publisher doesn't want to pay for a rewrite, there won't be one.

I don't blame Bioware for doing so, that book had so many error's that I doubt Bioware think its worth the time and money to re-write it since it'll most likely only sell a handful of copies.

Sigh, that sounds so awesome. I just posted in the remaster thread about how I hope they release a remastered trilogy for my new console.........

 

..cuz my old console disc player broke as soon as I got my new console. Weird. But, yeah. There's only ME1 available for digital download. No ME2 or ME3. So unless I buy a another 360, I'm unable to play.

Buy a PC then?  Even a cheapie can run all 3 games with ease.  (Not starting a pc vs. consoles, just saying its an option)

Yeah, that is an option. However, ME series is the only one I don't have. I'm not buying a 360 or a pc for one game series. And I just bought my new console abt 2 months ago. That's enough money out my pocket for all that. lol!

Contrary to popular belief, you can in fact enjoy more than one gaming system, it doesn't have to be one or the other. I play most games on PC, and only 2 or 3 on console. You may also find some new games that you like on PC, that are not available on console. 

 

Also, even without the nice HD texture packs that are available for Mass Effect on PC, all three games look so much better on PC than console.

Sorry to hear that, rapscallioness! Best of luck. I'm fairly confident a remaster is in development... I just don't feel like Aaryn Flynn would go on NeoGAF and ask about a hypothetical release like that unless it were likely. It isn't great business sense and it doesn't strike me as his style.

I think you and I will be enjoying the trilogy on our PS4/X1 a year or so from now.

And including the WHOLE Series, like Comics, Books and movies. All in order. And as a FemShep. My first run with her.
