delicious conditionals.

(I suppose this is some sort of confirmation of more single-player content, although we already knew that.)

Never going to happen. ME3 was a conlusion to the entire franchise. All the major issues get closure. Genophage, Geth, Cerberus, Reapers.

Dragon Age Awakening and Witch Hunt helped to set up the sequel. And the bioware devs have already said they are never making another ME3 ending DLC or ending extension.

Live with it.

Because obviously Bioware is a paragon of trust and truth... Oh WAIT... >.>

As for ALL major issues in ME3 getting closure... *cough* No comment

DAlso d you even play DA2 before you said DA: Awakening and Witch Hunt was setting up for the sequel?

I approve.  Hopefully this will be the start of better communication between Bioware and the fans.

Hmm you know that WOULD be a fantastic idea on Bioware's part.

I mean think about Half Life 2 and it's abrupt ending. It didn't answer too many questions in the original game but Valve then build on it with the episodes.

So why not make an expansion pack that focuses on the aftermath? A story focused on the recovery and also rampant corruption that will spread after the Reaper invasion? A expansion pack with a closing scene between Shepard and his ME2's LI that ME3 lacked? A exp pack that can even add upon the ending for ME3 by allowing some extra scenes to see your war assets in action.

Heck it could even be a jumping point for the indoctrination theory which would be awesome (in my humble opinion).

Bioware is not exactly opposed to expansion packs. I mean we had Awakening and the almost-released Exalted March for Dragon Age, so why not for Mass Effect?

Food for thought Bioware food for thought.

why didn't i think about this.

yeah, of course, it would be awesome and possibly shut most of the people who dislikes the ending.

its funny becouse if BW do this, that project X rumor could be true....

NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN (to my dismay)

I feel like any direct sequel would be on hobbles from the moment it starts. Most people around here will say they love something about ME- but the ending are a stickler. If you pick the wrong ending to impose on everyone, you are already starting at a disadvantage.

But that's not a bad thing. 30 years is no small stretch of time narratively, considering you could easily reuse characters from all games. We still have plenty of places left to explore: they could do an entire game following the same trilogy set in the terminus systems. They could follow a character from the first contact war on. We could follow the Blue Suns, or some other merc band. Even Cerberus.

Doing prequel and overlap games also allows for fan nods, such as mentioning Shepard over news blips or running into ME trilogy characters before they joined up with Shepard. Like seeing Wrex as a merc, ect.

Its a safe way of going forward. If its set more towards first contact you have an easy launch place for new people, and fans are treading agreeable territory.

Didn't the catalyst say that life would eventually evolve to the point of the "green" ending? They could make it YEARS FAR AWAY IN THE FUTURE. With the "reapers" not needed to rebuild anymore they might not even be mentioned. This is the best post ending cannon i can see.

but it's an expansion not a new ending. That bad ending would remain the same.

and im hopefully they are making something as good as levianthan was.something epic like an epilogue just as arrival dlc was for for ME2

Interesting that chris actually wants extended ending DLC, given how much people are complaining on the boards. Hope you relay that back to the team chris to show there is a market for it :)

Then there'd be almost no connection to anything we'd done in the trilogy - entire species could have risen up, Council politics would change, every character we'd ever known would be dead, if they weren't already. What's the point?

Not to mention that if organic-machine synthesis was canonised as an inevitable outcome, what's the use of offering Control, Destroy or refusal?

Sorry, but it's not going to happen.

Really dont hope so. Far too much MP DLC already, and to be honest, anything besides new combinations would be a suprise, there is just not much more to pack in. Near all the SP locations have their map.
I like to play some MP from time to time, but its not like BF3, LoL, Wc3 or Starcraft, that i will play it every evening. Its just too ...common... nothing special or kinda new.

And MP DLC were all for free, and if they really want to get more money out of ME 3 (and every company wants that, even BW...) they have to ship out more SP-DLC, cause i dont think, that many people will buy locked MP-Content, that they have to upgrade/unlock by purchasing more packs in the ingame shop.

I dunno, sometimes someone needs to hear that something they did sucks. This culture of "don't say bad things about my stuff cause I'll cry" is kind of embarrassing tbh. Man up, already. Sure, I don't like it when someone says something I did sucks and is the worst thing ever, but at least it opens my eyes a bit. I actually respect a person more if they can tell me to my face that something sucks and then back it up.

For example, in 'critiquing' the endings of ME3, I'd start by saying "They're terrible. Absolutely terrible, rushed, poorly thought out- AND HERE'S WHY, from a consumer point of view."

If you can't handle that, get out of the spotlight.
