The video game prophet graced us with his presence.
How do you know all this insider stuff? Do you work in the industry or do you just know the right people?

Not news. Specifics would be but we've heard none.

Shinobi and EatChildren have accounts here. They are usually pretty reliable.
I mentioned Shinobis post in the "Known Features Thread".
Okay, good to know they're known around here too. I think I looked at the last few posts but missed yours...
EDIT: ...as I post right after shinobi602...
Ain't reading everything before this, but this is promising.
This was the post I was referring to, yeah.
I think that rumor make sense.
It seems BioWare's main card for 2015 is the new IP Shadow Realm, plus DA:I's DLCs, so it's highly possible that they will push new ME to 2016, giving it more developing time, and maintain 1 big titles per year speed.
As for scale, since they are much more familiar with Frostbite now than when they were working on DA:I, plus that engine was originally used for shooting games, it's reasonable to think that they will go bigger and more badass in new ME.
Personally I think we will hear more about new ME in the months to come. My best bet right now is this year E3.
Didn't even hear about Shadow Realms o.0 Damn, what was I doing. So that is the new IP Bioware was talking about? Meh, "Story-driven online action RPG". I don't like the online part, so this ain't for me, sadly. And I was really looking forward to that new IP =(

To my knowledge it was one of the new IPs. They haven't talked about the other one yet, except saying they were making it.

Aaryn Flynn tweeted that it was NOT the new IP out of Edmonton or whatever (and we know this because it's BW Austin anyway). That IP is still coming.
Plus, they're taking Shadow Realms back to the drawing board. They may improve the game dramatically, though it'll probably still be an online game.

That was exactly what I thought when I learned about the new IP... It looked very boring. Now I read about this "reboot", I hope they put a single player experience in it.

Actually it sounded very nice sofar. I enjoyed the versus mode in Left4Dead a lot and everything that can recapture this online experience is highly welcomed. Not everything must be a dramatic heroic singleplayer experience. Especially not, when it comes from a totally different team. These are not the BioWare guys that made the RPG's of the past.

What I enjoy most is a complete story you fall into; it does not need to be dramatic/heroic (Citadel DLC wasn't, but it was great!!), but it is a different thing from a multiplayer experience

Regarding Shadow Realms (before its name was announced):
The new project being talked about is not from the teams at BioWare Canada, and is not the new IP we revealed at E3...

Good!! In facts, Shadow Realms didn't fit very well with what has been announced.

I am pretty sure there is one person named Austin that resides in Edmonton. Admittedly, I do not have proof to support this theory.

Huh? ME3's leak was due to an early beta of the game going up on Xbox Live, and people figuring out that the .tlk files had the whole game script. Nobody leaked it deliberately.
And I've never heard of DAl's story being spoiled beforehand. As far as I know nobody knew what happened in that game until it came out.
There were twitch streamers that somehow got it early. Several big plot sequences could be seen a week prior to release. There were also some reddit spoiler leaks. Half of which surprisingly ended up being true.

Hmm, but neither of those things are anywhere near what happened with ME3, which leaked two or three months before launch.
And neither suggests anyone at Bioware is leaking things, which is what that user was wondering about. Pretty much every game leaks before release day, and unless studios stop handing out review copies and stop sending discs to retail stores early, I can't really see how that's going to change.

Dragon Age Focused... Oh well...
But one thing got me wondering
SUNDAY:
3:00pm-4:00pm
Past, Present, and Future: What’s Exciting in Games: Sit down with some of our developers and chat about gaming. What are we playing? What do we love? And where is it all going?
--Are those the Dragon Age Devs or Bioware devs that can be working in ME:next?
