I was hoping there'd be more follow-up tweets, but alas...
At any rate, it's always fun for baseless speculation when devs from both franchises are talking...
I assumed the quote was from DG... possibly something he saw of the new ME (here's some of that baseless speculation...
).
I'll take it.
I can neither confirm nor deny that space plays a factor in the next Mass Effect game...
Smashing space for player survival in next ME multiplayer is unconfirmed.

@masseffect Aww yes. Normandy as "the Love Boat." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx1iu1idf-o …
So our design for the next Mass Effect game has leaked...
I keep the entire Mass Effect codex on my phone and regularly re-read old entries to pass the time on the metro. That's...normal, right?
I never thought about doing this. I think I might have to now.

For sure. Now, if only I could bump into one of the devs in the Montreal metro system. I'm on it all the time, but alas, no luck ![]()

Just make sure that when you do you get some meaningful information out of him. NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES!

''Hey Mr. Frazier. I heard you're on the Next Mass Effect development team, really looking forward to the game. Would you be so kind as to let slip a new minor details about the game? I mean, would you really want to leave such a dedicated fanbase empty handed? You never what might happen if you don't. Who knows, maybe they'll become indoctrinated and DARKEN THE SKY OF EVERY WORLD AND LEAVE NO ESCAPE TO ALL DEVS OF BIOWARE MONTREAL, I mean, be sad and disappointed ![]()

You mean get all Sovereign on them? If you tried that, would it mean you might be indoctrinated?
No, it means that you would be batshit crazy. At least that's what the other people would say to the cops.
A couple of NME tidbits and rumors over on GamingBolt:
Might be better to just include Aaryn's post from NeoGAF, since that's all that the article is based on... ![]()
An important quote there from Aaryn Flynn is:
"We're very proud of what DAI has achieved, but that does not set a "template" for what every other game we make needs to be. Each game franchise needs to innovate and improve their experience based on what's best for it, not just what another game had success with because "well that was successful"."
(related: is it a bit weird that he's posted quite a bit on NeoGAF about DA:I and now NME, but Bioware devs are still avoiding their actual forum like the plague?)
Never really visitied NeoGAF. Is it more civil than the BSN?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No.

Not really, if anything it's less constructive than your average BSN thread. (When that Halo 4 writer was revealed as NME's lead writer, the reactions were sometimes pretty brutal.)
I think he started posting there before DA:I came out in order to establish a rapport and see how people were talking about the game; also it's apparently considered to be a pretty influential part of their core audience. After DA2 and ME3 I think perhaps there's been a push to really engage more with those people and make sure that BW as a company is seen to be responding to their feedback. DA:I has been really well received in general, and it has to help spread word-of-mouth if people aren't actively hostile and putting 1s/0s on Metacritic user scores, etc.
One could argue that if people are posting here it means they're already pretty committed Bioware customers, but it's still funny to think that BSN is supposedly so toxic that developers would choose to have these kinds of conversations on a completely different forum. Patrick Weekes did the same thing, if I remember correctly.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to upgrade my PC. And I'm okay with that ![]()

Thank crap for that. Can we have the holstering back please.

I know, right? I wish more developers would start releasing games that can actually push modern hardware. I'm tired of having to encode blu-ray movies in the background while playing games, just to keep my PC warmed up.
I plan on having my new Xidax system by release time anyhow, I say lets bring it!

I'd say that's among the least weird things about Bioware.
