Agreed mind you ME2 was without a doubt a great game, but Bioware made ME2 as a stand alone title rather than a 2nd part of a trilogy (the 1st and 3rd games were also made like this). which is why there are huge issues with overall plot of the trilogy.
Ah someone who agrees. The trilogy could have easily been skimmed down to a two game series if Shep had just embraced eternity with the asari councilor in ME1 and then fast forward to ME3, maybe launch a countermeasure against the reapers in dark space.

Maybe there is one rule on the citadel too, "don't F*** embrace eternity with Tevos"...
In all seriousness though despite ME2 is a super awesome game it's still the mother of all side quests.
The only progression in the overall story arch happens in the Arrival.
The Dutch played like the Germans used to play in the 80s and 90s. Horrible.
So... as a Dutchman I feel some sort of obligation to throw obscenities at you for saying such a thing.
But I won't, because I'm no expert when it comes to football/soccer at all (only watch the World Cup and European Cup when the Dutch are playing because I get swept up in that nation-wide excitement), and I do recognize I'm a total patriotic fanboy.
No Mass Effect panels. Or Dragon Age panels, even.
So it has been decided. E3 it is for a reveal. Unless they announce it on a random day or with a magazine.
Hope we at least get some substantial info, and not some cryptic teaser (I think we've had our fair share of vague statements up until now, am I right )
TIM at the beginning of ME2: "We're at war!" and "You're unique!"
Also, are you really bringing up "cheap and dumb popcorn material for Micheal Bay fans" and leaving out Lazarus Project (closer to Ed Wood material, actually), the Cerberus railroading, resolving daddy issues for the Dirty Dozen, "Ah yes, Reapers", the Normandy invasion, the not-so-suicidal-at-all Suicide Mission, and the Space Terminator final boss battle? Plenty of goofiness in ME1 too, but c'mon, dude.
Yeah, yeah and yeah.
I know where you and many others stand on that whole thing. For me it's just a different experience. The main plot be damned but the side-missions, the exploration and expanding on the lore (...and thermal clips be damned yada yada) was super immersive for me and it made ME2 the best most realized experience yet. I played ME1 and 2 back to back and while I defintely missed a lot of things from ME1 as I was going through 2 I couldn't deny how much more I felt like 2 was what Mass Effect should be ---- the way I see it.
In ME1 I disliked most main story stuff. I appreciate it, looking back at it because a lot of ME2's threads ended up being fruitless because ME3 took them nowhere and arguably they sould've been resolved back in ME2 with some proper story-arcs but I remember thinking ME1 was cliche and clumsy the first time and I still feel that quite a bit about Saren and Benezia for example... with Saren redeeming himself of course because his finale is great.
My percpetion of that whole inconsistency and continuity thing is just different from what I often see here on BSN.
Reviewing the latest Mass Effect build is always my happiest time of day. We just shot a bunch of bad guys in the face.
They've been saying this a lot... which to me isn't indicative of anything I find to be special about Mass Effect. I get the same feeling I felt when Casey showed ME3 at E3 opening it by saying "this is all out galactic war". That does not get me excited. I don't care for it.
I can't wait until they hint at some more sci-fi things.

GI April cover has just been released (Mad Max) so that leaves 2 issues potentially with next ME. Probably nothing substantial before E3
