THe option to have real armor and uniforms!
yes it is.. my suggestion is to have other crew members have casual clothing as well.. also missable or secret outfits got in missions and let others have original dialogue with it.. adding few outfit textures is easier and can be done in a few weeks.. while the original dialogue not so sure.. xD

There's no shortage of other places on the forum where you can discuss literally every other topic, including suggestions.

Spring-Forward Poll: What new feature, system or gameplay would you add to the next #MassEffect ?
How about non-f***ed up ending? It's like someone back in 2012 said to him: "3 years will be enough Mac, don't post anything 3 years pls"

Well why don't you tweet that instead of crapping up this thread with that ending nonsense that should have died 3 years ago. Yes we know, you didn't like the endings, get over it already.

Don't tell me what to do and i won't tell you where you should go. Please don't derail this thread with your nonsense. And yeah, it's you are the one who should understand that someone could have other opinion than the one that you have, get over it already.

Butthurt much?
But seriously, Maverick was just suggesting that you post your complaint about the ending on Twitter instead of complaining here. Besides, blaming BW for ME3's ending when it was EA that made them rush it out the door is stupid. You want to complain to someone? Complain to EA.

Nice try man, but no. If you don't know how you will end your game 2 months before the release you are doing something wrong.

Agreed. Though I will say that Mac Walters certainly has a knack for creating discussions and ... speculations for everyone
Oh, you...!
I'm just glad to see he's actively listening and commenting on some fan tweets. I hope he can incorporate all the feedback properly though but he seems to have the right idea judging from some of his responses.

LOL Talks about derailing a thread after tossing in the old whine about the ending of the last game. Then blurts out a 'get over it' comment. What a total mook.

I want the game to open similarly to how ME1 did, with the exact same music (maybe slightly remixed). That music and the opening scene(s) really set the tone for the first game, and if that's the kind of feeling they're trying to recapture for ME4 I think we need to bring back the same kind of music ME1 had.

You know, I half expect now that the game will open exactly like ME1 did, then dramatically veering off in a new direction to emphasize both the continuity and the new setting (Wherever in space and time that might be)

ME3 only had a year and a half of development time as opposed to ME1 and ME2's 3 years. Had ME3 been given the same amount of time as ME1 and ME2, there wouldn't have been such a controversy over the ending.
Anyway, we're off-topic now. Why don't you find somewhere else to complain? We're waiting for some Tweets here.

ME2 had only two years (early 2008-January 2010) similar to ME3 (early 2010 - March 2012).

Uh, that's definitely wrong.
Unless my math is wrong, ME3's dev time was just a month shorter than ME2's.
Besides, ME1's dev time was way longer than ME2's and ME3's, but it was a trainwreck. The game BioWare presented in 2006's E3 was radically different to what they released in late 2007. Not just the major gameplay changes, it's obvious that even important stuff about the script changed.
ME2 and ME3 had way smoother (and shorter) dev times than ME1.

First I've heard of this. Pretty much anyone else I've seen bring up the development time for the games says ME2 had 3 years of development.

Even if they had started working on ME2 before ME1 was finished, that'd require ME2 to be released in late, late, 2010.

Well, while we are waiting for more tweets I will join the convo. I like some of the ideas here. Opening music similar to ME1 is a cool idea - because I love pretty much all of the music in ME1. ME1 was (for me) a totally new and open galaxy with a neat hidden story. Humanity was on the cusp of actually having a place in the galaxy with all of the other cool alien races. It makes me wish I was born in a time when such a thing is possible.
As for development times, I'm not so sure. Wasn't ME1 a new game from a pretty much new company? Didn't they have to learn the ropes? In the case of starting up a game, a flat amount of development time might not equate to a certain amount of product. Not to mention, the technologies have changed for each iteration of the game. I have no idea what the learning curves are for these engines - nor do I know how much bigger the company got as it went on. We also had re-appearing characters like Fist, Gianna Parsinni and others (refund man) that would tie back into the next game, and get that data from the first game save files. Designing something like that could not have been trivial.
I see it like this - I know next to nothing about how to make a video game. I can see something in the game and say it was awesome or not so good, but I really don't know what went on to making it happen. I have no idea how many people hours went into making these things. I can say that for the full runs of ME1,2,3 it was a pretty good amount of hours that I played - but if you totalled up all of the hours spent making the games - that number would be staggering. Another point, this isn't a 9-5 job for them. They have ideas in the middle of the night and bring them in to work the next day. Once you have a process rolling along, it might set you back quite a bit to go in and implement this great idea or that one because of VA schedules, programmers, artists and whatever not have you that I am not even conceptualizing.

Don't agree with dat Ark Theory, but I have to agree with this, at least in a sort of way.
We might want to at least take a glance towards DAI here, even if BW has said they won't be sooo similar.

I didn't like the ending but there was a huge amount in ME1-3 that I loved. I'm very happy that Mac (or any other dev) is interacting with the community again and talking about the next ME. There were actually quite a few very interesting tweets there.

It depends on your definition of new. BioWare was over ten years old by the time Mass Effect came out, with a number of titles under their belt.
