Good suggestion, there should be some work/progress required to explore "tougher" worlds.

I just got an email asking to please turn down the disco room. It's times like these that I don't think my job is a real one. It's too fun.
Yes, the #discoroom is for #space. I know that I'm disappointing everyone by saying that I'm not actually building a disco room for #space.

Suggestion: Have the PC character have the choice to be any of the more humanoid old races (human, turian, asari, salarian, krogan...especially krogan)
while the rest of the game, if it is set in an all new galaxy, have all new races with little to no individuals of the previous mass effect races. A first contact kind of story between the old galaxy and the new one.

I wanna be inhuman.
Whatever that means, I'll leave up to Bioware.

I just thought of something crazy after I had a very cool conversation with a co-worker in Montreal over vidcon. Gonna pitch it. #space
Oh god, and an even crazier idea. YES. I love thinking of cool things that solve interesting problems!
#space
Aaaahhh, did not get told no. This is gonna get written up and investigated!
#space
Yep, I can't tell you what it is, and maybe it's a little cruel to suggest anything, but...
.. as a fan and player of all things Mass Effect, I am really excited about getting to try and add and expand on things for the next one.
Because I know that I want that stuff as a player, when I'm at home just playing the games. #space
And one of the reasons I won't talk about it, even if I was allowed to, is that there is no certainty that it will make it into the game.
And talking about it now would set an expectation and get people to maybe agree or disagree about it and I don't want to disappoint anyone!

For the love of God, no stupid crafting systems.
We don't need to be wandering around mining minerals on foot somehow to brew a potion to turn our guns pink. I had enough of that in Inquisition, and it just did not work well at all.

I actually enjoyed crafting in Inquisition, but I don't see how something like that would be implemented in a Mass Effect game. I rather like the idea of simply buying upgrades and having a little flexibility in how you wish your gun to behave, sans scanning the hell out of planets for tens of thousands of units of whateverite. And regarding guns, I'd love ammo powers to not be powers anymore, but actual ammo you get for the gun, like it was in ME1.

My biggest concern about ammo powers is letting be automatically equipped at the beginning of missions so I don't have to cycle through the weapons and turn them on. Perhaps also saving a space in the powers wheel, assuming they keep it.

That would be hard to do if you have more than one ammo power especially for someone playing as a soldier who uses cryo, incendiary and disruptor ammo.

I agree with that. Weapon mods in ME1 was better than anything in ME3 or ME2's ammo powers, especially since some classes didn't even have any.
I like the idea that ME1 gave us the freedom to pick any weapon we chose but some would suck because they weren't part of that class's training. I think ME3's upgrade system was extremely shallow though I did like seeing my upgrades actually become visible on the gun.
But if the idea of NME is to take a system from ME1, ME2 or ME3 and expand upon that rather than redo it altogether then I think ME1 had the strongest foundation after all.
