Yes.The ones concerning the arrangement of the krogan quad. Devs actually tweeted about this.
Ben Cummings@bendotc: Sitting here at work, overhearing coworkers debate the geometrical arrangement of the Krogan quad. Why must I sit next to @manveerheir?

"It would be nice if Aaryn could chime in for the whole "ME3 was too much shooting, not enough everything else"
This is odd to me. Mass Effect 3 was the crescendo of the Reaper War. WAR! Shepard is a SOLDIER. War + Soldier = SHOOTING.
The idea that Shepard would be roaming around the galaxy looking for ...Asari Writings at the height of conflict seems ludicrous.

I'd say there was definitely not enough shooting in ME3 - but maybe thats why I still ME3 MP.

Well, ME3 is only about war because the developers wrote it that way. It doesn't have much planet exploration or mini-games or big sidequests because that's the way they chose to allocate the resources and time they had.
I liked the tone and gameplay of the third game for the most part, but people have every right to question it. Nothing pre-ordained that ME3 had to be a game primarily about shooting things in the face rather than driving around looking for asari writings, and it's perfectly okay to wish that there was more of the latter.
What's also up for debate is whether the series lost something important by dropping planet exploration and some of the RPG mechanics after ME1, and I'm glad to see that the team have apparently looked at the whole series for inspiration, rather than just iterating on what they produced for ME3.

Given where things started in Mass Effect and turned in Mass Effect 2, I'm not sure where else it could go logically. Every bit of the ME universe as told through books, comics and games gave you a sense that something big was going to happen. It was building towards a major confrontation/event.

Its true - after all, they murdered Shepard like a mangy mutt in a cold dark rainy alley. After such appalling treatment of our hero, they sure do champion Shepard like its supposed to be all good feels. Instead, they stuck to their treatment of our hero - and their artistical integrity.
Given their attitude, why should they be surprised to get some back?
They also created Shepard, the ME universe and everything that made you like the character in the first place.
I may have issues with things George Lucas did with Star Wars later on, but I still admit that without him there wouldn't BE a Star Wars for me to enjoy at all. Same applies here as far as I am concerned.
At least that's how I view things.

Well yeah, you started life in game as an Alliance soldier, shooting things was always going to have to be a major element of the gameplay. This is why I hope MENext breaks away from a military perspective. Deus Ex made you a cop, which gave you a fair amount of latitude when it came to solving problems. Sure you could go in guns blazing....or you could stealth around, hack computer systems etc. (Oddly enough Battlefield: Hardline actually has a mechanic that allows you to arrest people instead of gunning them down....I'm still wrapping my head around a Battlefield gaming allowing for that in it's gameplay). Shadowrun Returns set you up as a outlaw, and while there was a lot of combat, you could still tailor yourself towards other solutions. My Elf Street Samurai was the parties "Face man" fully able to Lie our way right through corporate security, because he was charismatic and because he knew how corps and security companies worked.
MENext is Bioware's chance to fully embrace the "Star Trek" (DS9 over TNG personally) side of the sci-fi spectrum, making you an explorer and granting you missions, skill sets, gameplay and options reflective of that particular fantasy.

Sure, but I'm just saying: given the styles of ME and ME2, I think it's natural to wonder why ME3 - in gameplay terms - lost a lot of the open environments and non-combat activities. Even tonally, it was less "oh wow look at the wonder of space" and more like "everything is screwed we're all dead, war war war i was born in london". I don't fault people for wondering where the next game is going, given that its immediate predecessor was mostly about shooting with some conversations in between. Whether the story would've supported a different type of game isn't really that relevant, if people are mostly concerned about how the gameplay will change or stay the same going forward.
ME3 was a war game because the story made sense for a war game, but maybe also because war games sell better and have easier MP integration and are easier for new players to understand and might even be a nice justification to improve the combat experience. We don't know which of the above things were most influential, but I hope there's enough reason for ME Next to return to some of the stuff we saw back in the first game.

Speaking on Star Trek. I find interesting how the developers had that Pathfinder Initiative logo. In Star Trek Voyager, later in the series Starfleet introduced the Pathfinder Project. It was a communications system that allowed real time communication between the stranded Voyager crew and Earth.

Technology is awesome. Working from home today but connected to the office to watch the build review with the team.
Combat is looking pretty great in the latest builds. Biotics plus weapons plus powerful hardware is amazing.

Is this the first time we've heard of biotics being confirmed? I'm pretty sure it was a given that it would be included, given it's importance in the franchise, but it's nice to have an official confirmation ![]()

Apparently possible to underestimate the amount of ridiculousness today continues to bring. The latest has resulted in a SparkleSparkle.mp4
Perhaps someday it will be included in a Mass Effect blooper reel.
Someone hack into their computers and find that mp4-file
the name is so... intriguing.
