I don't even own Mass Effect trilogy with this account... I just access the Trilogy via my cousin's account most of my games are on steam and was planning on getting 1 and 2 on Steam my cousin stopped me and told me "don't be stupid brah" but don't know why this badge poped up

 

I think it just registers every time you make a purchase for a game at some point if you're logged into your account.  For example, I don't own DA:O or ME2 on Origin, but I have made a purchase (DLC) while being logged in here.

In words it sounds kind of nonsensical, but I bet when it is actually shown to you, it's pretty fascinating.

I'm pretty sure he is just talking about the first step of building the maps and environments the characters move around in. Before all the polish, textures and artwork etc goes on. If you google "youtube ME3 multiplayer unreleased maps" you get a pretty good idea what I think he is talking about.

Yes. If you really want it and have the Steam version you can just enter your key in Origin and get a copy there.

For what it's worth, Bioware devs will be fielding questions on Kotaku. Looks to be moreso about Dragon Age, but I'm sure a Mass Effect question will arise, and it just might get a response. (One can hope!)

Which was inevitable really because sadly, it is still far too soon, if you've still got devs placing untextured blocks, testing level designs/gameplay, your still not at a stage when you can confidently release any kind of concrete information, that's not still subject to change in a heartbeat. 

 

I personally don't expect anything till the next N7 day at the earliest, I want it sooner but being realistic, not a chance...

I don't think this game can skip another E3 and not get hit by "stuck in dev hell" rumors

Yeah, same here. If they do skip, we can probably assume there was a development restart/trouble. How would a game go through 2 and 1/2 years of development with only concept art and vague statements to show for it (publicly). Some games go from nothing to release in that time frame!

 

Not that I don't appreciate all the development time and effort, of course 

 

At this point, it's like having your mom making a new and improved version of your favorite cake of all time (the kind you gobble up in two seconds), and she allows to get a smell it as it cooks for 1 second every 6 months. I agree, I'd get settled for a long wait if it's not at E3. I admittedly don't know much about game development so I'm not sure whether adding new levels and such at this point is cause for alarm. I hope they're just playing this one close to the chest and getting ready for a big reveal.

 

I'm also dying to know more about the new IP so I hope we get more info about that soon!

Including betraying your allies, lets not confuse the justification with the act. It was a bit of a screw job in the end for those who deliberately chose NOT to enjoy destroying EDI and the Geth.

It's been under development for close to three years at this point. How do you think level design even works? It's one of the biggest resource sinks of game development. It's done throughout production.

I'll be shocked if we get nothing significant at E3, the only question in my mind is whether we'll also get a reveal of the new IP at the same event.

I actually went to a space camp right next to Montreal with my best friend when I was young. Spent three days there doing nothing but space simulations in a replica space shuttle and scientific experiments that replicated space and the life of astronauts. Was one of the funnest times I've ever had. I've loved space and science so much more ever since then.

I somehow realized today that it's been over three years since we shipped Mass Effect 3. Good lord it didn't feel like it was THAT long ago.
