It's not a plothole, just a part of the story that happened out of Shepard's point of view. There are literally hundreds of others over the course of the series.
(If the concern is about why the Reapers left the Conduit open in the first place, that's a valid question to ask of Priority: Earth's narrative and level structure - something I don't think we're ever going to get an answer to)

To be honest, i dont think so. DLCs must be playable at most of the points in the game after the Intro (Vancouver/Mars/Palavan). This is something sooo heavy storyrelated and happens at the Point of no Return. Also you are busy beating Kai Lengs butt up his face on Chronos. Will most likely never be part of a DLC. And this is no plothole... its just something that happend and wasnt explained in detail.Thats not a plothole.
We already know that there are indoctrinated guys at Citadelas well as TIM, so its no secret how Reapers got controll over Citadel.
OMG SPOILER SPOILER DONT READ FROM HERE ON
I thought this might come up.
Imagine Shep having a random mission, Lets call it, "Secrets of the keepers" playing on a undisclosed part of the citadel. He discovers some kind of "sleeping AI" he cant make his mind about right now. Also a hint that the citadel infact can be moved, because it has changed its location in past cycles, and to top everything the nature of the conduit.
Because right now the conduit, the mad AI and the mobility of the citadel are so random and happen for no reason. This part of the story needs to be told.
Authors let even major parts of a story out, in order to tell it at another time. The story of ME3 might be to big to fit into the core game. We already have enough autodialog.
/edit: spoiler, i apologise

Maybe investigating some sabotage activities. The crucible is built in deep space, maybe hiden in a nebular. Would be visualy interesting and there are lots of possible funny side quests with nutty professors and bored marines.
And Garrus can play the bad cop.

As a minor side not, I too really wish Bioware actually used that Priority: Earth gameplay draft you have in your sig. Would have made things MUCH better, Grubas.
I like bits of it, but most of it favors Paragon decisions and shafts Renegade choices.

In the end there were too much decisions you made, that arent good or evil but something in between to make a pattern like this/ like in ME 2. You cannot compare ME 2 and ME 3, its more like ME 1 and ME 3.
Over the whole series one fact remained the same: Regardless of your decision (Renegade or Paragon, if possible/ you had enough points to decide) the outcome was more likely the same. Sure, sometimes the bad way was easier (shooting the Colonists at Feros instead of stunning them) , and sometimes it had some minor penalty (like loosing some (!!) war assets in the Feron-Colonists thing) But a Renegade choice never forced you into some corner, you could not escape.
It was more like how you want to play your shepard and what choices you can make during your journey
In ME, you get punished for NOT doing things and not for HOW you do them.
- You can rescue Wrex at Virmire as renegade and as paragon, but only if you had enough points from past decisions
- If you dont save thane or kirahe and dont speak with Ash/Kaidan, you will loose them, but regardless of you attitude you are able to save them.
- If you dont do the loyalty missions, you are screwed but in all of them you can take any choice, if you have enough paragon/renegade points you can achieve loyalty in the end.
So the game punishes you only for NOT doing things.
So some of your ideas like "Normandy Check" and "FleetArmada Check" are nice, since it fits in the pattern (you get punished for NOT doing things) the rest is crap (cause you get punished for HOW you did it)
So TLDR: ME doesnt judge your morality, but your effort.
And the only way to cover your Effort is war assests. And the idea behind the system is good:
-2800: you have all choices
-3100: you can see shepard live
and so on
But they made two critical mistake:
They dont use vids to really distinguish the decisions you made, as well as annihilation, damaging and rescue of earth (depending on how many assests you have).
And the numbers of needed war assests could really use some tweaks/ more variation/ possible outcomes, like 0-2000, you fail and the cycle continues instead of giving you the option to choose destroy/ control depending on your decision with the human reaper.
But whatever, we should get back to topic:
What about Illium as a further DLC? Its not overwhelmed yet and they have some old textures/level designs.

That's because most of the renegade choices were mildly moronic.

Is is it me or is there more excitement over Omega than anything else? I mean, we've seen them get excited about their own stuff before, heaps of times, but I get the impression there is something really special about this DLC which is a bit of a surprise because many people have been all "why should I care about helping Aria when there's a Reaper war going on". Most interesting.
Because Leviathan delivered on their promises.
Plus, many people wanted a new place (and hub-world, which maybe Omega will provide). Considering the comics, there should be new enemies as well (the adjutants) and more given the relativity to the Omega 4 relay - maybe even Collectors. Would fit in nicely with the rumored new enemy type for the MP DLC. Then again, Aria has her fans, and helping her take back Omega and kicking ass should be pretty fun

It more rewards completion than Paragon choices. The only renegade choice it really shafts is not curing the genophage if Wrex is alive...which is a strategically stupid thing to do in the first place. If you have Krogan support (which you do if Wreav is alive and you faked the genophage cure), the only real loss is Wreav. Actually, more hinges on Krogan support (which you can get with Wreav alive/genophage not cured) than the actual cure itself. All the other renegade choices go towards completion factor. And really...even my renegade Shepard cured the genophage (Wrex alive).Takio wrote...

But anyway, I can't wait for Omega. Aria's my homegirl. Let's do this. *Puts on sunglasses*

I'd be very excited if I finally get a chance to **** with Aria (not literally). I hated her ever since that stupid smile after her delivery of the line 'don't **** with Aria" as if she said something clever. I want to take over Omega and keep it for myself.leonia42 wrote...
