User

I still can't believe how sharp the graphics are on @masseffect 3 after so long. Vancouver is still looks stunning.

Michael Gamble ‏@GambleMike

you should see the new game...

Not sure what User refers to... They are good, but they sure look dated today (those running pixels that are supposed to be civilians...). Vancouver graphics in particular.

I've been quiet on Twitter for so long that I feel that whatever I write now will be assumed to be more meaningful than it really is!

Hopefully the Elcor made it into ME: Next. They might be my favorite minor species.

I thought Earth to be very underwhelming in ME3. London in particularg was just generic gray buildings.

I found Lesuss to be the nicest locale. Right before you meet the first Banshee, I always stop off by the edge of the balcony and take in the scenery. The cold, mountainous landscape against the night sky is always a treat.

Yeah, it's great. What I also like about it is that it's clearly an Asari complex. That's something Mass Effect managed to do, maybe not for every race equally, but there are places that you can clearly recognize a style of architecture and say, 'That's from the Asari', 'That's from the Salarians', and so on... even more with weapons!

It would be hard for me to pick a favorite location, I'd have to give it some thought. I remember the first time I landed on the Shadow Broker ship I was utterly impressed, one of the most engaging combat scenary of the trilogy for sure. DLCs generally featured some great places. The mines of Omega for example, or the Citadel, they both gave a great and brand new view of something we already knew.

But maybe by answer would be Tuchanka from ME3. Three reasons: 1st it's very beautiful, 2nd it's definitely Krogan. Those massive structures that look like can withstand major damage is something I can picture the Krogans buildings and 3rd it matches extremely well with the mission, I believe there is a dialogue that goes somehow like this: someone ask what you're looking at and Eve answer is hope. And that's the feeling that scenery manages to irradiate, it shows that the Krogan can do better than that ruined wasteland you have experience earlier. Making the choice regarding the genophage even more difficult. Tuchanka world was more than just scenery or levels for combat, more than any other place in the trilogy, it was a skillfully built place of story telling and world building.

Yeah, these ancient ruins perfectly show how insanely megalomanic but at the same time proud and competent Krogans used to be.

Impressive and worrisome at the same time, just  moments before we have to decide the fate of the Krogan race.

Yeah. Loved the Elcor. Such good guys.

The most heart breaking moment in ME3 for me was when I was talking to that Elcor embassador. I asked him how many from his home planet managed to escape. For the first time an Elcor did not use a descriptor before his statement. He just said, after a long pause, "Not. Enough."

Oh! :crying:

Such a very small thing, and yet it hit me very hard. I hope they survive. Gosh.

Austin's primary duty is still TOR as far as we know, right?

Yeah. They were working on Shadow Realms, but we all know that got cancelled. I also think they are working on some unannounced title, but maybe my memory is messing with me. EA did pick up the Star Wars license recently, and Bioware was named as one of the devs to develop new Star Wars games. Maybe it's that.

Thanks, makes sense. I'd hoped BioWare would get involved with that front in one fashion or another. It sounds like Austin is historically highly multiplayer-focused, though, and I'm not a big multiplayer mark. But hey, we'll see what they drum up... if indeed they are drumming up anything.

Nope. They never mentioned a new Star Wars game made by Bioware. And EA acquired that licence two years ago.

The EA Studios that will develop these games are some of the most innovative and popular creative teams in the world, and include DICE and Visceral, in addition to the BioWare team, which is already developing for the Star Wars franchise.

I think they might have mentioned that Bioware Austin would continue making new content for SWTOR when that got announced, and that's why people are confused.

My dreams for a KOTOR 3 remain unfulfilled then  :crying: ... Thanks for the correction

(SWTOR is a decent game, but I just don't like the constant grinding of MMOs, and KOTOR 1 and 2 were my childhood. What I would give to have a proper sequel...)
