That arm looks like Miranda's loyalty outfit
Doesn't look comfy to me, I'd prefer more cloth-like material.

Look at the upper body. So much stuff on there.
I used to do vaguely similar things, dealing with 3D geometries and I try to dabble in character modeling every now and then.
I can not imagine doing this. Designing this thing, modeling and rigging it properly. Not in a million years.
What if being N7 is just one out of several possible origin stories? We don't know anything about it. And even if we are definitely going to be N7, it's not like it means we'll be "Shepard 2.0". There's so much more that defines a character.
It's quite honestly a bit silly to go all doom-and-gloom on so little, I think. Chill out, keep an open mind, see what happens when we get some actual information
I, for one, am excited to see the teaser-partial-arm and the mysterious mousepad. Anyone got an idea whether that's a black hole or a wormhole? I'm not smart with #space
Well, what I believe is that there is gonna a whole lot more undeniable death sequences. A lot more choices, if not in the first game, then definitely in the third.
Also, what if we're just wearing the armor because it's what's handy? We could reform the N7 movement, and thus have a definite meaning for N7. I think that's one of the sidequests that they're going for. In other words, there are no N7's on board, yet they still left their armor. Somebody (prolly a civilian or a marine) picked it up and used it. As a matter of, that's why it was so loose in the original artwork that we were shown.
Possibly, just planting seeds. Seeing what grows.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to feel like a different person. We're shaped by the experiences and hardships we endure. For instance, Shepard facing off with Saren and learning the truth about the Reapers and being ignored for years. Or receiving the Cipher, or being blown up and reassembled. Being offered to trick the Krogan and either accepting or rejecting that choice.
Chances are, we won't be going through any of those things as the next protagonist. So even if we're N7 and human, there's lots of room to be a lot more than that
You misunderstand. Both Shepard and the new PC if an N7 operative have the exact same starting point. They are the same when the story begins. The fact the stories will be different doesn't change the fact that the characters are the same, just that they are in different stories.
That's understandable. I don't know what caused you to feel like this, but if it were the ME3 endings, then I got a little burnt too. But the thing is, you're kinda raining on the parade prematurely, I think. This thread is great for just getting excited (for those of us who are less cautious). If we get confirmation that we'll play only as a human N7, then by all means, make a thread to discuss it. There are valid concerns to be had. This just doesn't seem the place for it. I mean, a post or two, sure, but continuously expressing discontent puts a bummer on the mood, at least for me. I'd love for the Twitter thread to continue being a place where we discuss tweets and possible news and generally share our excitement
at least that's how I see it. I know that's not the technical definition of this thread for everyone.
No, it wasn't the endings. To be honest, I was fine with the endings since I saw them, or the gist of them anyway, as a possibility ever since the first time I finished ME1. It's just that whenever I follow a game during develop, I like everyone else tend to develop a Hope List and a Fear List. And every time nearly everything from my Hope List is dashed and everything from my Fear List is confirmed.
I only made a few posts on this, and it is discussing the tweets.
Alright, thanks!
can't help but wonder how much significance it has. Combined with 'sharing what's ahead', it seems very much like it's connected to something about the next Mass Effect.
You're welcome.
Some are thinking it may be saying they'll be doing a wormhole or something.
No, there's nothing wrong with you. There's just nothing to be hyped about yet with this game.
Too late the hype train is already here, you can't stop it too bad for you.

That is going to be my biggest problem.
I've spent too much time in Mass Effect being Shepard. I'm sure I will want to be Shepard.
Like when there will inevitably be conversations about things I know from having seen them as Shepard, or even more so if they actually mention Shepard.
It'll be like: "I know that." and "I used to be that guy." but I won't be able to pick that dialogue option.

I think this is more of a nightmare to design

20 years.
So...I have been "secretly pining" to work for BioWare for 20 years, then. That's an unhealthy infatuation!
Luckily, my job has given me opportunities to greet so many of the fine men and women who have been part of or still contribute to BioWare: Jos Hendriks, David Gaider, Casey Hudson, Mike Gamble, Jessica Merizan, Chris Priestly. From the briefest of handshakes to the small conversations about how eggs are cooked at a hotel, I have been most grateful of those moments.
So, Thank You BioWare for 20 years.
Here is to 20 more years, where I be 60 years old, awaiting to play the 9th installment of Mass Effect.
(Sorry this isn't exactly Twitter related.)

If I'm not mistaken Bioware released a little bit of Mass Effect info last year the Mako driving video at least.
Happy 20th birthday BioWare! We reminisced about our favorite and least favorite companions: http://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-and-worst-bioware-companions/ …
And if it does, I'll change my view accordingly. But as of right now, everything we have been shown has us as being stuck as human.
Personally, I hope it doesn't change. No offense intended. I just feel like backing up the possible decision sometimes, is all. If we're human-only again I'll be glad for it.
No offense taken. You just stated your opinion, not belittled mine. If we're human-only, I'm sure I'll get over it but it will always be a missed opportunity, especially with how rich the possibilities are with the races in Mass Effect.
Yup.
My stance is simply that I'd be less confident going into 4 that our protagonist will feel reasonably well-defined (in a good way, of course... I don't mean, like, in a way that denies player agency) if BioWare has to deal with several hugely different perspectives throughout the course of the story. Plus I'm a sucker for space opera centering on humanity striving to better itself, I guess; I blame all the things I watched and read growing up.
I'd get over it as well, no doubt. But yeah.
We had a trilogy of humanity striving to better itself though, so I would like to see something new in Mass Effect. And post-Reaper War is the perfect time since all the races are at an equal position, both in station and situation.
If there's any validity to the leaked survey, the "fate of humanity" will be a prominent factor in the story regardless.

Take it away, Cassandra.
