E3 itself isn't really relevant unless they're actually going to have the game there to play on the showfloor, or something.
The important one is the EA conference, which is on June 15 American time (like in your chart).

Right, E3 itself is royally handy if the games one is interested in are being showcased to the press in detail. But as we don't know for sure that ME4 is even going to make an appearance during EA's press conference, where it is guaranteed to be unveiled if it's on the agenda, there's currently no ME4-related reason to count down to the day(s) after the conference.
There's usually always SOMETHING from Bioware every year at E3, even if it's just a small trailer/teaser. When they put up their official con attendance schedule, or release date, I'll add those events to a countdown.
Oh, I'm personally hedging my bets that there'll be something ME4-related, for sure. 
I'm kind of anticipating something on the level of E3 2013, though -- that is to say, a cool CG trailer and some still-kind-of-cryptic answers from the devs.

I reckon that when you show up to a convention in cosplay it's kind of expected that people will take pictures and that they'll probably share them online.

Definitely a big possibility, but I think asking first is a very respectable thing some might just want to hang out with fellow cosplayers and not be posted on a forum for thousands of others to see. There's a difference between that and someone uploading it to facebook where dozens or maybe a hundred strangers will see you, I think.

Is it me, or there have been a shift towards science fiction in the media recently? I see quite a few sci-fi games in this list, Gravity in 2013, Interstellar, new Star Wars movie... I love this tendency!
