More enemy factions, better search parametres when searching for matches (and let us see the host's ping!), female turians (you knew I was going to say that), new objectives/modes of play (not PVP).

About search parameters, I'd like the following:

A distinction between any map and random map.

Being able to flag maps that you don't want to join. For instance, joining any map except Rio or Jade.

A host being able to choose which races and classes may join. Would make challenges such as the last one easier.

I'd also love text chat because I don't like talking to strangers.

I support flaging unwanted maps. It would save me a lot of time if I could exclude Firebase White from U/U/G searches.

"Like a new faction? "

Michael Gamble came out with this on his own.
Collectors confirmed?

Regarding the MaleShep-only cover for the ME trilogy:

twitter.com/masseffect/status/250992621193924608
@sarah_ann_mann Well, we've got a little something special planned for FemShep coming, so keep that chin up! :)

@sarah_ann_mann @Crazy_Rah Not with the cover art. We're doing something separate.

FemShep gets some love after all:wub:

As exciting as Collectors will be, I'd really like to see mercenaries as an enemy faction. They were heaps fun to fight against in ME2 and with the three different groups there's lots of diversity that could be thrown in to keep things challenging and unpredictable. Plus they'd make a lot more sense in terms of lore (unless Omega brings something new to the table).

Maybe they're bringing the new default Femshep into ME1 and ME2, though I guess that's not a "little" something.

Lorewise they make no sense at all. The theme is "The galaxy against the Reapers" Everyone not indoctrinated is on our side. Hence the mixed "N7" wannabe background for Multiplayer.

But it woul be cool to shoot some Krogan, just for old times sake.

Because no way would some mercenaries be trying to capitalise on the chaos of a galactic war, that would be unthinkable.

Not by fighting against the galaxy's best, they wouldn't. They do capitalize on the war, I direct you to Aria: Blue Suns.

Just in case anyone still had doubts, Manveer confirms that EA now owns the rights to the entire franchise:

twitter.com/manveerheir/status/251185102493720577
@PotentialyGreat Yes, but EA owns all of BioWare and the entire franchise now. Money exchanged hands. So they have future rights (aka now)

Good, I'm very happy PS3 players are getting ME1 and I'm sure WiiU players will get it (along with ME2) too next year

Capitalize is a broad term. Now way they would risk open conflict.

Seems like Bioware wants to release ME Trilogy on PS3 before the end of the year:

"@ShepskiGuy it's too early to say definitively, but we're trying hard! #fixingbugs"

Though obviously it ain't sure yet since they're still working on PS3 port of ME1

Interesting, I imagine if ME3 proves popular on the WiiU there'll be a release there as well. Strange that they aren't releasing the trilogy there, though perhaps the process to get ME3 approved as a launch title was underway before they wanted to reveal the existence of the Trilogy Pack.

Not much they can do with the rights for ME1 now though, Trilogy Pack and PS3 release aside - I mean, Bioware/EA already own the rights to the IP in general.

Most likely, plus they would have to work on 4 ports then (ME1 for PS3 & WiiU, ME2 for WiiU and ME3 for WiiU)

But Trilogy Pack is very important, especially by the time ME4 will be coming out. For continued catalog sales, they had to release Trilogy pack but with PS3 situation, it would've been ridiculous. So it was in EA's best interest to gain 100% control over the franchise and not have to bother with MS anymore

EAs maybe.  Bioware is another matter.  Go read Ray Myzuka's retirement speech.  He thanks Microsoft for working with them and he said somewhere they were happy to let them make the game they wanted.  Mass Effect has been nothing but dumbed down since EA took charge of it instead of MS.  Not arguing about it being MS exclusive or whatever, but Mass Effect could do with a publisher who will let them make it the way they want, instead of EA cramming multiplayer etc in.

Bioware is owned by EA. Microsoft does not have any say in Bioware anymore. It was not helping Bioware in any capaticy that MS was holding console publishing rights to ME1.

PS3 fans are happy, EA's happy, X360/PC players don't lose anything, there's nothing but good coming from the fact that EA got the remaining ME1 rights

Here's hoping that in the process of cleaning it up for PS, they fixed up some of the issues in xbox/PC ME1. Like texture bugs and awkward loading.

I don't care if PS3 players get to play ME1.
I'm just saying Bioware make worse games and don't seem as happy with themselves as they did before EA when they were working with Microsoft.

And this has nothing to do with the release of ME1 on PS3 so what exactly is your point?

Nope. Most people think late October/early November though based on schedule of previous DLC so in about a month maybe?
