Once again, to any aspiring level designer out there, grab your editor of choice and make a fully functional door like you see in ME1-3.
You will find out pretty quickly that making a door that works and that allows for and accounts for edge cases is not an easy feat.
I'm not saying it's aliens, but man did I not account for one edge case in this door I built and man is it biting me in the ass right now.

Edit: nope, my rando abandoned me.

Do more tweets about edge cases; see if that helps.

I can think of nothing about which I know less. A case to put your edges in? Do you need another case for the edges of the edge case? Where does it END?
Edit: I'm tweeting that.

That reminds me, random fact about a person you've never heard of: There's a popular musician over here who named his son that, in that exact same sense.
Rando.

Don't forget to include @jurassicpark in the tweet so Chris Pratt gets to read it.

It's too late. It's in the ether. You thought I was kidding but that was my first tweet that wasn't just @someone.

Is his son old enough to use Twitter? Was I rejected by an infant?
Incidentally, I googled "edge case". I think it = mathematical stress testing. I need confirmation before I tweet that though.
Seriously I'm stopping now ![]()

Haha, it refers to situations that are pretty unlikely to occur but still might need to be tested just in case (if that makes sense). It's on the "edge" of probability in terms of stuff that players are likely to do.
So maybe there's a bug where the game crashes if you save 456 times in one playthrough - 99% of people won't have that many, so the ones that do would count as an edge case.
I remember there was some sort of bug in ME3 (?) where the game would crash your console if you left it on the MP menu for seven hours in a row, or something.

@gameinformer Exciting, thank you! Guess we should get to work...
I'd much prefer our current regimen of piña coladas every couple hours.
They are good...

I was liking the article until, "I liked that before they caved in to angry internet pressure and released the Wayne’s World-style ‘mega happy ending’ as DLC."
This is why PC Gamer sucks in my opinion. They are so pathetically in the palm of the industry - on the payroll until the end. Worse, they are always taking potshots at gamers who do not agree with their 'mainline' (and on the payroll) point of view. I wouldn't even allow this trash in my outhouse, if I had one.
This is also the same group that fed the hype and gave scores of "perfection" to a game that was so terrible fans had to make a better ending.

Flawed ending that fans made a flawed happy-ending mod for =/= "Game that was so terrible".

I follow Chris Pratt, Chris Pratt doesn't follow me. (also, thank goodness for that, because I was going to freak out if he did)

It's not like ME2 and especially ME1 also didn't get very generous review scores. ME1 might be the most egregious case given how severe some of the problems were on the design and technical side.
Apparently this time it's an OUTRAGE. /Udina.
