Haha, it refers to situations that are pretty unlikely to occur but still might need to be tested just in case (if that makes sense). It's on the "edge" of probability in terms of stuff that players are likely to do.

So maybe there's a bug where the game crashes if you save 456 times in one playthrough - 99% of people won't have that many, so the ones that do would count as an edge case.

I remember there was some sort of bug in ME3 (?) where the game would crash your console if you left it on the MP menu for seven hours in a row, or something.

It doesn't necessarily mean it's unlikely to occur. All it means is it is at the extreme value of what is needed. In this case it sounds like there was someone(thing) too wide or too tall to fit through a door. That scene might be needed in every play through, 100% certain to occur, but is still an edge case if it is the tallest and widest.

I follow Chris Pratt, Chris Pratt doesn't follow me. (also, thank goodness for that, because I was going to freak out if he did)

I obviously don't know how Twitter works.

Cher is a 69 year old lady and she can figure it out.

I'm gonna ask her for a few tips... I'm sure she'll get right on that.

I wonder what it is that one can do to a door that would cause it to break the game.

Let us keep it on topic, please. #space #tweets

This is just a sign that you guys need to post more about #space. The natives are getting restless.

It's not that they're divisive as much as they are vital to the whole thing: if an Edge case goes missing, that means the guitar is lost too, and U2 can't play that night.

Wow.

Sort of good, almost.

Courageous though, so it's a 7.5/10.

Did they say if anyone from BioWare is going to actually be in E3?

They've not confirmed it, but they go every year (if you include Austin) and present something.

Well they've all but stated it.

But in terms of proof, no.

I disrespectfully disagree.

We all agreed back on the old "Mass Effect: Deception is aweful" threads. A glorious once in a lifetime occurrence.

That's like a law of the universe. A physical constant, like the value of pi or something.

I do my share, but this thread doesn't have to keep getting tons of posts if there isn't anything to discuss. If people are antsy to talk about other topics related to Mass Effect I'm sure they can either find a topic that has their topic of interest, or they can make a topic covering their topic of interest.

What do you think this is, some kind of web interactive forum?

Mad Jos @Sjosz

#space work continues. After fixing a bunch of problems the other day, today I re-double efforts to get some banter and combat implemented.

Mad Jos @Sjosz

In #space, nobody can hear you tweet.

Mad Jos @Sjosz

Game development tip: Play intense soundtrack music while setting up and implementing combat. Mad Max has a pretty great soundtrack for it.

Mass Effect banter. Mass Effect combat.

I wish I could see/hear it.

Less than 3 weeks away hopefully.

I wonder if devs who go to work at franchises they love miss not being able to experience the completed product for the first time on release day... just to appreciate it it for what it is instead of what it took to get there. I would want Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind to be a real thing so I could be like "I did that? Man I'm good!"

I have to see if I can't get a renegade choice in there that has a giant wrecking ball just come out of nowhere and tag someone.

If I could experience Mass Effect 2-3 for the first time like anyone not having worked on it would, I would do it just so I can have that experience. Not to see wow I'm good, but to have that pure first experience. I do miss that a bit.
