Now that E3 is over, I wonder if those embargoes I was thinking were in place will be over. I'd stay alert monday/tuesday.

Also, Jos, was it hard staying silent when this thread was talking about going to a new galaxy last year?
I think you said something like "interesting discussion going on here" at the time
They like to sneak the odd, (seemingly random) thing out there every once in a while. I remember one of the Devs tweeted that Johnny Cash song weeks ago... ![]()

That´s the question...

Jos still has to endure all our speculation about how and why we get there. Hopefully that will be revealed at the end of the year.

What do you think?
That you survive on the anticipation of prospective gamers and this is the part of the development cycle where you're at your strongest?

Hey Jos, any news about Maverick?
Sadly, no. I've done all I can to improve his odds of returning home, but the jerk has remained missing in action.
That you survive on the anticipation of prospective gamers and this is the part of the development cycle where you're at your strongest?
While I can't deny that people's excitement fuels me in part, most of it is just my own excitement for a next Mass Effect. Not honestly sure which part of development is my strongest.

Hi Mike, quick question: Can you confirm that MEA will have third person shooting again? Trailer looks like it might be a FPS.
totally third person.
I came to the conclusion this trailer was really a Rorschach Test, people are seeing and interpreting the weirdest things on it.

I don't know how someone got that impression.
Me neither :/

Well, hope they remember the final game will probably be different from this teaser.

Personally, I feel that this game is gonna have more of frontier feel. More of, "Let's go exploring!" less of, "Hey, I'm standing where millions of aliens, that have formed themselves into a council that operates as a galactic government, have known about long before we got here. But yah, the sky is pretty." It was this kind'a existentialism that really drove home the first trilogy home for me. Because we could point to a salarian. We could point to an asari.
Here, what I fear, is that all races will become our fast allies or our fast enemies. And those kind'a friendships/enemies don't last for very long. And here, we're walking in blind. So, we're going in and saying, "Yah, this skyline has been seen by millions of aliens. Dunno who. But..." Previously mentioned existentialism doesn't work. I mean, aliens could tell us this...
And we'd believe it.
Now, imagine if they lied about something bigger. Like a war.

While I don't mind a frontier vibe from MEA, I kinda want some places that are already established and lived. Places like Feros or Noveria. I want to explore more than uncharted worlds and their natural habitat.

I want Andromeda to be lived in along with being unexplored in other areas, like The Milky Way.
Maybe more to explore since The Milky Way has 200-400 billion stars and Andromeda has around a trillion.

While many talk about Cash and the Desert, my eye was caught by the inferno place in the trailer. It looked quite interesting. Maybe we'll have ice, too?
Lem's Birnam Wood (geysers on an ice planet that spout gases that instantly freeze to tree-like structures) in Mass Effect? There is something like this on Hoth in SWtOR, but I bet it can be done better.
