Commander Shepard, Pluto is in range. Send out probe? #PlutoFlyby
Can you bring us in a little closer, Joker?
It's a shame we'll never actually get to see this in the games.

Very succinct article and sums up perfectly what I want to see in ME:A.
Hopefully we will get to see space as an uncaring and harsh environment, to see 'alien' aliens and locations, etc.

Heh, for some reason it reminds me of that part when Chewbacca was carrying C-3PO in ESB.

"What's going on? Turn around Chewbacca, I can't see!"

Depends...if he was producer when Ezio, Desmond and Altair were still the protagonists it's okay...but if we are talking about AC Unity... ![]()

Jade produced the first two AC games, as well as Watch Dogs.
Good god, it just gets worse and worse. Watch Dogs? I know that some people love the AC line of games. Me? I could never understand it. Both the love for the story, or the story itself.
I know what happens, I just fail to see why I should actually care.

How many studios are now working on ME:A? Four (Montreal, Edmonton, Austin and now Motive)?

AC1, AC2, and Watch Dogs all were huge productions and were blockbusters as well. Splinter Cell underperformed but was a solid game with good reviews.
Seems like a good get for EA.

Motive does not work on ME:A. They just share an office in Montreal.

Story is middle-of-the-road when it comes to why people like AC. Assassin's Creed has always excelled at vertical exploration within an urban landscape (and trouncing groups of enemies with 1HKOs), and where the later games went wrong was in bloating the games with half-baked mechanics that got in the way of that simple pleasure, and also going annual which personally has landed me in franchise fatigue after Black Flag.
Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood are still legitimately great games.

Jade Raymond is an excellent producer, though. She's widely credited with helping Ubisoft become one of the biggest third-party developer-publishers in the industry.
And like somebody said, she was around for the early AC games, which were mostly fantastic.

Brotherhood's my jam. If I had to rank them: Brotherhood = Black Flag > AC2 > AC1 > Everything else. None of it would exist, though, without the successful historical sandbox framework of AC1 and how AC2 refined exploration and protag characterization.

Let's not get crazy here, Ezio was a protag straight from the 80s action flicks

Ezio isn't anything special, no, but his personality was a light-years jump ahead of Altair, showing they knew an area where the franchise really needed to improve.

Black Flag also has what I hope ME:A has: meaningful side quests. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of Assassin's Den side quests that had fully fleshed out characters, cinematics and everything. That's obviously impractical for a game that might have dozens and dozens of planets, but maybe 6-7 side planets with that would be swell.
