What's happening in the Mass Effect community? Anything big revealed?

Claudia Black has been cast as the protagonist to widespread enthusiasm, there will be a transgender vorcha squadmate, and BioWare's testing out a omni-tool mechanic to indicate that the PC is ready for marriage.

One or all of those things may be false.

Aside from the E3 trailer, we've got a 45-second audio recording video that indicates we'll probably be hearing tank-style cannon fire and M-8 Avenger rounds. Mild speculation based off that: the Mako may have artillery after all, and the events of the game transpire in a window where the ME2-introduced Avenger model is still relevant.

Well, that's their targeted release date. The game could be delayed, just like practically ever other Bioware game. Not saying that's a bad thing, but just pointing out that is usually the case.

I think ME2 wasn't, ME1 I don't remember.

Anyway, Q4 2016 is extremely far away. I'd say there is a good chance of it not being delayed.

It's very probable; these days it's rare for games to not have delays.  The main exception are series that release a game every year.
