oh, you.
But my heart longs for ME:A info. *sigh* I guess I'll wander back over to DAI forums and see if anybody's heard anything about the next dlc.

Could always play Rocket League. That's tons of fun.

And so my month of vacation begins. I LOVE my job but I desperately need this break to recharge. See you in September #Space.
Yes the majority of BioWare resources are now on ME:A but there is and have been a healthy amount of people on the new IP
A bunch of DAI devs moved over to the new IP just recently. I'm guessing it's now full speed ahead in development.

Probably about as full speed as when a bunch of Witcher 3 devs moved onto Cyberpunk 2077 mid-development, which frankly, isn't that speedy, supposedly.

I wouldn't be surprised if its released in late 2017
Idk, the concept does not look very post apocalyptic to me. It looks more like changing seasons. I vaguely recall Casey saying something about a dynamic world, something that really changes over time--could be wrong abt that, though.

Dynamic World hu?
If Mike Laidlaw's dynamic world in DAI, which he bragged about so much pre game launch, is anything to go by, this new IP is so ho-hum boring. It's all about what the Director and Producer means when they say "dynamic world" and what we the players interpret what it means. As long as Bio fails to properly explain the game concept, it is we the players that hype the expectations from our imagination + some help from marketing, of course.
I'm speaking from a personal experience with DAI regarding dynamic and the re-spawning of wolves and bears as you yourself "respawn" from death, all in the same spot or the magically re-appearing of metal deposits after you collected them..... it's dynamic alright.
So, I'm tempering any and all expectations for ME:A and with the forthcoming announcement of this new IP.
What is this?
It seems that this is his/her way to separate Quoted Post of its reply...
(Well, according to other responses he/she made in other threads...)
Niamh's take on the new Mass Effect: Andromeda armour is awesome http://mothblank.tum...-armour-looks …
Yes a bunch did move over some moved to MEA and some moved to new IP, given new IP is almost entirely Edmonton right now it makes sense the developers in Edmonton moved to it. I know more of us (self included) are going there in OctoberA bunch of DAI devs moved over to the new IP just recently. I'm guessing it's now full speed ahead in development.

My theory is they're trying to make it so they have a new game coming out once a year. ME, IP, DA, ME, IP, DA, etc
That way they have a steady revenue, get more games out, while still having 3ish years to work on each game.

Hope you enjoy working on things in Edmonton, they seem like a pretty nice bunch of folks there as well! ![]()

I don't know why, but more than anything, those pictures sort of remind me of the Eden Prime mission in the "From Ashes" DLC.
<s>I can't see that working in this setting, maybe a few hundred years into the future of the Andromeda galaxy when you got dissilusioned people and fortuneseekers and rebells and other types of extremist freethinkers who arn't happy with a happy thriving galaxy and wants something different. Where they themselves become more imporant.</s>
I guess it would be possible for them to add pirating missions where we "Pirate" supply transports of our "enemy", thereby weakening them and adding supplies to our own cause.(privateering, on enemy supplylines)
There could be a few singleplayer missions like this, and Multiplayer. That would be more like a supply raid though, capturing raw materials and Eezo and stuff like that. 3D printer materials.'
Privateers and Maquees were a thing in the past, capturing ships and cargo of enemy nations. It would be one way to help grow your fleet in Andromeda with fewer Resources and infrastructure required.
I could deffinately see them needing to replace ships and grow their assets.

Maybe they mean the Hinterlands gain Red Templars or Venetori after handling the Redcliffe storyline, or defeating the rebel templars and mages make those areas quieter? Still not terribly impressive, really.
I agree with you though. Marketing, including whatever the likes of Laidlaw or Darrah say, is misleading, and meant to pump up interest in the game, not provide specific feedback on how the game will be designed.
How do you know a marketing person is lying? Their lips are moving. ![]()
I think when you're creating a game you're that much more easilier impressed by what comes out of it, hence why Mike Laidlaw and others tend to exaggerate. I don't believe it's purely marketing mindedness.
I think Bioware devs sometimes need to take a step backwards and observe their own creations, or play other games (which I believe they do) and try to be more critical of their own work. Like for instance, I glanced over Mike Gamble's twitter profile and saw that andromeda background he has and I was like "I should be impressed by this, shouldn't it?" but I'm just not because the appeal is its graphics and if that's gonna end up being representative of the final product then the game basically looks no better than DA:I, yet all the devs seem to be really proud of it, already.

The reflections on the edge of the mako and... everything, really... they all have this artificial-looking tint that I think even ME3 surpassed. I get that this is work-in-progress but I think Bioware needs to learn that W.I.P. (that's still pre-alpha) isn't likely to impress the public, especially not the people with no insight into actual game-creation.
We can still say Bioware has never released a game that was god-awful, but their reputation amongst fans have really taken a nosedive since DA2, ME3 and DA:I. They already alienated some of their smartest fans with ME2 but IMO that game did at least have fine game-design whereas all games since then have had really fundamental things to their design that just made them feel near incompetent.

The Negativity is strong in you.
I think that Shot looks gorgeous. And, damn it, for all the Vitriol within the Fanbase, I'm pretty sure everyone will still buy their Games as they are still excellent, no matter how much Criticism can be levelled. I mean, I can absolutely still enjoy ME3 knowing about the Endings. I can still enjoy DA2, despite reused Environments and DA:I despite rather meaningless Zones. Seriously. You're all painting the Devil on the Wall.

Can't believe you are that obsessed. Not game. Just graphics, right?
Exaggerate is what you are doing right now. Don't you? You post already reflects that.
Very good movie. Kelly's Heroes

Think long and hard about whether you want to get into this discussion in the Twitter thread, because I have a magazine full of counterpoints to the bold loaded and ready to go. Simply put, claiming ME2's game-design is "fine" and ME3's is "near-incompetent" is, no offense intended, utterly laughable.
It's a subjective claim either way, actually.
I tend to prefer ME2's game design over both ME1 and ME3's.
