For the first point, The "Official" announcement wat at E3. For the second point, I agree, But that's bsides the point of why i posted the link. Though i don't remember reading that line in the interview. I will recheck it.
I'm not at all surprised, really. It's pretty obvious they're going for a fresh start. And honestly, I think having cameos not only wouldn't make a lot of sense but it would accomplish nothing.

I agree. Just thought I'd share it to clarify the rumors that some of the big characters might make cameos.
That tweet they reported on was posted on this thread just a day or two ago.

That article takes it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overboard. He didn't say no returning characters whatsoever. He said it wouldn't make sense story-wise. Which means if any return, it will be a select few.

It's not just this article, The news wasn't written by these guys, It's all over the internet.
The same guy who said it wouldn't make sense for familiar faces to appear also later says this may not apply to minor NPCs from the Shepard Trilogy.

This already makes me roll my eyes. I like the idea of inclusiveness, but I feel it's working against the respect of narrative to create characters based on sexuality, and before anyone says I'm putting words in their mouth, he says "it's our #1 job" to create the right balance of characters. Do I need to explain any further?
