Small tidbit about the ME Andromeda Collector's Edition in Lady Insanity's PAX panel summary:

 

"Did you buy (or try to buy) the Inquisitor edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition? It wasn't pretty. Backordered, too many pieces, and limited distributors. For Andromeda next year, Bioware aims to do better. Mass Effect: Andromeda will have an "Uber" edition for its game that will concentrate on having one big, flagship piece instead of 16 tiny ones.

 

Currently, they are selecting partners that they can trust to create an out-of-the-park product and work with many specialty retailers. Also, they are investigating ways where digital users wanting collector editions won't be penalized for playing digitally. Instead, a method where a digital key is acquired immediately and the remaining loot is shipped."

 

 

(I thought DAI's CE was a bit ridiculous and disappointing, particularly when they'd made a massive deal about asking for ideas for the physical items a few years before. Hopefully Andromeda can do better.)

It was announced Q4 2016 is the targeted release date, so that isn't out of place.

Too heavy. "Light" chain mail chest armor, like Leliana's DAI outfit, was about 50-80 lbs. That's not including a helmet, gloves, boots, belts, and swords/daggers/bow. Which would add to 150-200 lbs. Stuff's heavy as hell.

I'm not. If you want to put a high-quality statue or model in the CE, you have to design it and select a reliable manufacturer long before the game launches. You don't want another "Arkham Knight" Batmobile situation.
