Mhmm.. the biggest problem right now is who will be playable character in Omega. Aria or Shepard? Can anyone clarify this?
Shepard is in the screenshot they showed at the Montreal Comic Con. Shepard is the playable character, Aria is who we're helping take back Omega.

Yeah, you're right. That's why they each have their own DLC's and romance scenes that arn't 10 seconds of dialogue followed by cut-to-black.

Hopefully this has your crew again as people to take with you and not total strangers. I'd like to play with Aria, but be able take one of my crew.

I'm not going to argue about LIs or Squaddies but Liara had basically no role in ME2 and only had a tiny DLC sliver given to her. Not to mention once the DLC is over you no longer have any talks nor character development.
Its only fair she gets a bit in ME3, everyone else had two whole games, she had one game and like an hour long DLC.
Anyway, anyone else excited by this? Nov 27th, x2 Leviathan's size, Female turians confirmed

Well JAVIK is pretty much favored more then anybody else. He gets his own DLC, and even steals some Dialog from everybodys favorite blue LI, like the whole Thessia mission, which was supposed to be Liaras mission in the first place! , and that is a character that isnt even romanceable.
i mean EDI gets Chronos station, but Liara only stays with Mars, that she has to share with Ashley. Javik gets 2 missions, where he can babble along, or people keep babbling about him. To top everything hes got the most dramatic backstory, that tops everyone else.

They don't need their own DLCs because... wait for it... THEY'RE PERMANENT SQUADMATES IN ALL THREE GAMES. The only characters with such status. The only characters to have so many personal/loyalty missions in the trilogy and Tali even has the entire second arc in ME3 dedicated to her. Shorter romance scene in ME3 is nothing compared to how much content they get everywhere else.Unschuld wrote...

I dunno, Rannoch is all about the Quarians/Geth regardless if Tali is alive or dead which is essentially meant as a small reflection of the overall synthetic vs. organic plot, not just Tali-time. Garrus is, well.... Garrus. No explanation needed. He's awesome. The reason they're permanent squadmates in all three games is.... wait for it... They're more popular than everyone else with fans. As much as I hate to admit it, that's at least partially why we get choked to death with Liara. Playing to the market is how you make money. Imagine a DLC with nothing but Jacob... yeah, that'll sell well.

According to Chris Leviathan was their best-selling DLC ever - not sure if that includes From Ashes though, since that reportedly had something crazy like a 40% take-up rate with new purchases of ME3 at some big US retailer (Gamestop?).
It sounds like the MP and weekly challenges really helped in getting people to keep their copies rather than trade them in - I remember one of the devs saying it does improve sell-through of content down the line, including SP DLC.
1200 MSP is an awful lot, though. Hope Omega is worth it.

You dunno? Tali is a mandatory squadmate for Dreadnought and Rannoch missions for crying out loud.Unschuld wrote...

So why were you trying to pretend they're not pampered in you last 2 post when you know exactly they are and the reason for it?Unschuld wrote...

So you don't like Liara thus you're sick of her getting so much content but you like Tali & Garrus so you don't mind at all that the trilogy has been filled to death with them. A bit hypocritical don't ya think? That's why I'm for pampering everyone on the same level. And yes that includes Jacob. So what he's not popular? Some people loved him, they're not less important than Talimancers. Or should we be making choices in future ME games based on what we think will be 'popular' or we're gonna get screwed out of content otherwise? Not exactly what an RPG should be don't you think?Unschuld wrote...

Which is why I'm slightly hesitant when they mention that you'll be able to play with both Aria and a female turian as squadmates, because the fear is they'll be your perminent squadies for the Omega DLC and you won't be able to use any of your original squad for the Omega missions (meaning no new dialogue for any of them).Unschuld wrote...
Best selling DLC ever? That's promising, given that it was released in the midst of all the current flack. Despite my quibbles with the plot being made more convoluted, I'd certainly agree it was the best-made DLC overall, especially with being the first to actually feature squad banter.

But it will make Omega feel much more disconnected from the main game. Voiced squadmates made Leviathan feel like intergral, real part of ME3.ejustinp wrote...
I honestly wouldn't mind that. I mean I'd like to take Garrus back to Omega for obvious reasons but new is good too.

It was really weird how neither Tali or Legion had anything to say about a cerberus experiment envolving Geths and a hybrid human-VI interface during Overlord DLC.
Like you said IsaacShep, the dialogue made some parts of Leviathan (like the mining facility) feel like a part of the game.
