10 world premieres. 10 on-stage awards. @thegameawards 2015 next Thursday night live.

By any chance do we know if MEA will be among them?

EDIT:

I believe MEA will be there, after all i recall someone said that "big news" where going to take place at the end of the year....

Did they specified that it was this year? "We said the end of the year, but we didn't mentioned which year! Se ya at E3 2016 for a 10 second CGI trailer!"

I'm afraid i don't recall! but i would suspect that teasing for a thing more than a year away would not work...

The Mass Effect works with real physics, but just uses an exotic material to do what it does. Even the Mass Effect doesn't allow plain rocks to float. This is just magic. So much for hoping that Mass Effect would try to be a science fiction game. Looks like it is going to be space fantasy.

Same thing as ability effects in Inquisition. It does not matter it your rogue/warrior character paints magic rainbows in the air with each special attack as long as it looks cool. Visual > reality. I think flying rocks are less intruding magic though.

It's amazing how people are complaining about poster aesthetics three pages later.

Anyways, I'll be sure to keep my eyes on the VGAs this year. Haven't really paid attention to them before now, they sort of flew under my radar since no really awesome news seemed to come out (at least none that mattered to be at the time).

Convenient too since I have the day off

Jesus Christ. Who the hell cares about floating rocks. Visuals > Lore/Reality. It's a game.

Great. Great. Now I'm descending into bsn cesspool. And I tried so hard not to.

Would ME:A count as a world premiere, though? It's already been announced and we still have roughly a year to go before release. It just seems weird to release a new trailer or something similar at this time.

"World Premiere" in this context basically means "new trailer".  For instance, the first "world premiere" that's been revealed is for the new Far Cry game, which was announced a month or two ago.

There was a trailer for ME3 at the VGAs in December 2010, back when its original release date was late 2011.

Besides, BW have said in the past that they'd probably be talking more about the game "late this year", and the game awards are basically the only big thing left this year.

Wait... floating rocks are magic, but biotic spells who have been there since the first game aren't?

In topic : Here's hoping we get some incredible gameplay, story or environment trailer next week!

On the matter of that video, I think if there was anything truly dramatically revealing about it EA would have had it taken down. I remember they did so when someone accidentally revealed the main antagonist in DAI a few months before release.

Googling it, they seem to be small figures :)

Interestingly, they all look identical except for one: 2nd from the left, bottom row. Or maybe they're all different, but you just can't tell from this image. *shrug*

it is possible that we'll get nothing before E3, but that isn't because it wouldn't be a world premier. ME3 have a trailer the year after his announcement, Primal will get a world premier and it was already announced (and I think it had a GI coverage?). Plenty of games were shown in the past and were already announced.

I think that BioWare is finally able to pull together some similitude of WTF they're doing, by now at least.

What they're prolly gonna show is a trailer, with some more hints...  Then we're gonna go black again (at least as far as info) until some time well into next year.

EDIT :  The only question now is, how big will those hints be?

Apparently these "hints" will be of the amorpheus kind. Bio will not tie themselves into a specific direction unless it's already written in stone.

For example:

Bio may introduce/confirm another MW race but won't mention anything about their purpose (ie: as a NPC or as a squad member or part of their own colony ship(s)).

For example:

More conceptual art which will look different in the game.

For example:

Bio will mention you can skip cinematics but fail to mention some are unskippable or that's only the intro cinematic.

For example:

Bio already mentioned that they are serious about character equality. What does that mean?

For example:

Bio can say exploring new worlds with the Mako is Awesome... but fail to define awesome.

I think you get the picture. The thing is, in my view, it's too early for Bio to announce concrete game elements.

I stumbled upon this when I saw that MEA has won the category most anticipated game. Just thought to share it here.

And some will say people don't care for Mass Effect anymore... and it won with extreme prejudice.

Anyway, I remember ME3 also won most anticipated in 2011 VGA. The trailer they shown that year made me positively angry though, because it was so very bad.
