Judging by the hashtags, it's referring to 50 people being on a meeting through a Skype call.

Yeah I'm just messing.

"Aaryn Flynn @AarynFlynn

You know you've made it when you're searching your e-mail inbox for the keyword "sizzle" ".

Made what? Is this supposed to be about ME:A? And, why would Aaryn do a search for "sizzle" in his email inbox?... Is this a vague marketing ploy?

Just asking

To have "made it" is an expression meaning to have attained a desired level of success with something. Like in the Barry Manilow song, Looks Like We Made It, for instance :)

I didn't understand "sizzle" either, until Hrungr and ElitePinecone both gave a hint by mentioning something called a 'sizzle reel'. If you google it, a sizzle reel is explained as being a short video for marketing purposes, also known as a show reel or demo reel.

Hope that helps :)

Oh man.  You bastard.  You would have to bring up a Barry Manilow song.   Now I'm gonna be singing that for the rest of the day.   And prolly tomorrow too.

It wouldn't surprise me.   I think that everybody knows that during EA's EA Play they're gonna be trying their hardest to show off some (or all) of their stuff.  And the day that it winds down, (June 14th, I believe) is the day that we're gonna see some of the heaviest hitters.  Not so ironically, that's also the first day of E3.

Hm...

The optimist in me wishes Bio developed an extended device support for AR. It's too late for ME:A but a future Dragon Age game may have it:

Here, look at this tech(wear AR glasses): http://www.magicleap.com/#/home

Hmm....

This is an affirmation that Bio is developing ME:A for the consoles first and porting the game to  the PC after... not surprising, really.

But, seeing how DA:I + Frostbite failed to use the PC Keyboard and mouse controls properly (ie: mouse button re-mapping anyone?), I'm ever so glad with my decision to wait until after ME:A launch + bug fixes + game reviews.

Having said this, Bio artists have some truly awesome artistic talents.

Just saw that the new Mirror's Edge is getting some sort of announcement in an hour or so.

I don't think EA will be talking about MEA for a little while now, I reckon marketing would want to put some space between all the games they have coming out this year.

I know Mirror's Edge has been having a ton of playtesting sessions recently, they are having a 3 day playtest in less than a week.

If EA decides not to show one game because another one is closer to release than their games will have two months of marketing tops. MEA marketing is weak because it's farther from release. As the game comes closer to finished you can be sure people will stop saying "we know too little" and being saying "we know too much!".

Do you think a 5ft Mass Effect standee is allowed on a plane? I want to wave it back and forth at this convention.

Pretty interesting video. I'm going to extrapolate a bit and try to assume that since is they mentioned RPG and what they enjoy having in RPG games, I'm going to assume what they are talking about will be related to MEA's development  ;)

I like how they say we'll be able to better customize how we experience the game depending on what kind of player we are. Kind of like how we could choose specific modes at the beginning of ME3, like Story, Combat, and Regular (or something like that). Maybe they'll take that concept further and really allow us to define our experience. Like they said, some people really like the stats and inventory management (classic RPG features), while others could care less and really want to just play the game.

This could be a double edged sword in my opinion. On the one hand, it would be great if multiple fanbases and feature sets were tailored too and really gave everyone something to be happy about. The casuals can maybe get simplified interfaces and little to no skill management. But for those hardcore RPG players who crave old style Bioware and want to tweak their Strength and Constitution to a detail, then we could have that too. Everyone's happy, and the game is "optionally dumb-downed", with hardcore fans still left satisfied.

On the other hand, such efforts to appeal to everyone could cause the game to become diluted, and it's always a drain on time and money when you invest new features into a game. Like they said, there will always be people who won't be happy or who won't like their approach. If you try too much to please everyone, well, I'm sure you guys know the narrative...

Regardless, I really liked this interesting tidbit. Gave us the slightest peaks into the game design philosophy going into MEA. Guess we'll have to wait on more details to find our for sure though  :)

Yeah I expressed similarly in my Youtube comments under the video (Malcolm).

I think we could get an expansion of what we got in ME3 in some regards (just as we got the return of ME1's Mako, and may get ME2's more open-ended order of things perhaps).

I think the big word for MEA will be 'open'. Open open open. Play how you want, go where you want, do the things you want.

EDIT: To add, it wouldn't surprise me that a ME5 would then take what MEA brought and 'refined' it further. Less focus on 'open' and more on 'enhanced' or something (for example, directly controlled space exploration(?? if rumor is right?) turning into directly controlled space combat, maybe more ship customization, and more seamless activities). But that's just some thoughts that came to mind.

Ive tried Inquisition with a controller and for a heavily bumed down version of DA2 combat it actually is it felt good enough - at least not frustrating unlike with keyboard -, but the most fun and satisfaction in a shooter is to shoot somebody in the head with precise skilled aiming. Its just not the same when the game practically targets for you and you press the trigger. Yeah, it vibrates and **** and sure looks pretty but still not the same. I really dont want them to **** up the m&kb controls in this one and forced to use a controller because they made it better for an inferior control scheme - for shooters. Best thing would be if you could drive the mako with controller and shoot with mouse - how i played GTA. The game will probably be worth is for the story alone but hoping for a good port.

Bioware really shouldn't mess up the controls in this one. I didn't find the KB+M in ME3 to be a problem though. I'll be shifting my HDMI to the TV a lot and will want to use controller for that. Please let us finally pick our control style..

This is... maybe not the best idea, lol.

I got the impression that they were just talking generally about what could be considered good game design. It might have relevance to MEA, but I wouldn't read too deeply into it.
