Yeah, for me it's not really so much about the ending as such. I think what bugs me most is how BioWare dealt with the situation.

It's a different team, a different project, more and more ppl are quitting anyhow. So, maybe it IS time to make a mental tabula rasa. But still, just because time passes doesn't automatically build trust.

Jos posted just last page to get this thread back on topic. Which is tweets. When I see new posts in here, I expect it to be about new tweets, but no, I keep seeing old arguments come up.

Can we go back to topic now?

Just noticed on Mike Laidlaw's Twitter feed that they have a new assistant writer joining them in Edmonton! Not sure if she will be working on Andromeda at all, but thought I would share regardless :D

My sneaking suspicion is Dragon Age Team. I say this for two reasons:

1. She got a Twitter welcoming from what little of the remaining DA writing/editing staff we know of that's left (specifically Team Weekes, Patrick and Karin)

2. I remember seeing the job opening for an assistant writer in Edmonton being posted some months back and the timing of it seemed rather impeccable given that what felt like the majority of the DA writing team had jumped over to the New Secret IP, leaving Patrick rather by himself to carry the DA flag. With MEA already well under way in production and New Secret IP gaining a glut of writers, if any Edmonton team needed new writing blood to fill a hole, it's the DA team.

Nice seeing something I helped design (and wrote documentation for) make it into the game. Feels like owning a little bit of the game. :)

I can't even begin to fathom the depths of how it's gonna be once they finally announce a release date.  Gonna feel like everyday is covered in molasses.

Most retweeted bioware tweet of all time? And we might finally be rid of all the life simulator threads.

What shall I do today? Will it be logic scripting for art streaming? Will it be working on combat encounters? Or maybe all the things.

Started Mass Effect 3. The Alliance got rid of my fish and let my hamster out. And that was the day Shep went renegade...

Jos NOT @ GDC @Sjosz

Spend a while trying to set up something for your squadmates to follow you, it doesn't work. Have a programmer look at it, it works.

Jos NOT @ GDC @Sjosz

This is how video game development really works. Do something you think should work, it doesn't. Get programmer to look, it works.

Jos NOT @ GDC @Sjosz

If you are a game developer and you ever get stuck, just get a programmer to look at your work and it'll just magically work.

Jos NOT @ GDC @Sjosz

The programmer himself even joked he should get shipped with every copy of the game, so there are never any issues. If only.

Jos NOT @ GDC @Sjosz

Programmers are magic at fixing things, QA is magic at breaking things, artists and animators are magic at making things. Designers tweet.

Got ME1 and 2 ongoing but can't start 3 due to ending. There is no point in three as I can't change anything at the end... galactic readiness at 100% crapola or not.

Nothing has been confirmed or denied as far as a new Dragon Age game being greenlit yet, but considering Patrick Weekes is still the lead writer of it, one can presume he's not just sitting there making increasingly complicated paper airplanes all day.

Also, not depressing to me. I want DA4.

The last game really didn't finish the series, there's still a lot to cover after Inquisition. I for one am excited for a DA4, especially with the story possibilities Bioware has that they can use.
