Nothing has been confirmed or denied as far as a new Dragon Age game being greenlit yet, but considering Patrick Weekes is still the lead writer of it, one can presume he's not just sitting there making increasingly complicated paper airplanes all day.

Also, not depressing to me. I want DA4.

The last game really didn't finish the series, there's still a lot to cover after Inquisition. I for one am excited for a DA4, especially with the story possibilities Bioware has that they can use.

I was excited for DA4, but then they threw away all the potential it had away just so they could stick with the stupid "new protagonist every game" rule.

I don't think that it's stupid or misleading in any way.  I think that they're doing just fine with DA.  I dunno where they'll go after this, but I think that where ever they go, it'll be something to watch and play.

Really? Bio is thinking of DA4?  How depressing.

The game didn't obviously complete the IP and it was a financial success for Bioware. How would someone expect they didn't considering, if not actually planning, another DA game?

I'd say it almost sure they already working on it, at least in the concept stage.

I was excited for DA4, but then they threw away all the potential it had away just so they could stick with the stupid "new protagonist every game" rule.

Eh, unless a dev clearly said otherwise I would never expect a DA game with the same protagonist for two games. It's fine either way with me. Both methods have their pros and cons.

Got ME1 and 2 ongoing but can't start 3 due to ending. There is no point in three as I can't change anything at the end... galactic readiness at 100% crapola or not.

One of the things I'll concede about Control is it does give good variation on your choices, you can have the Rachni rule Tuchanka, with the Krogan going extinct or not and the Geth uploaded into a reaper with Quarians alive or not.

Variations are achievable with other endings its early & the twitter thread, so my list is short. Some endings don't show Turian victory, some do. Kasumi and her greybox if you pick synthesis. It just sucks you have dig so hard to find out what the differences are and how to get them.

*looks for new tweets*

Hmm, what does space smell like...?  ;)

Usually with these "4D" things, the seats will rumble, move around... poke you in the back. Sometimes they'll do other things like spritz water on you from the ceiling... things like that.

A "live performance"? The other things sound nice but this is intriguing.

A live performance for the kids, high tech for the geek, mass effect for the gamers, 4D for the easy-to-please people...there's a lot of stuff in there to make money

                                                                                       <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>>

That may be true but the normal game ending boss fight (ie: non DLC ending) was pure Meh! because the actual ending turned out to be a DLC, which one had to pay. For a moment, imagine paying for extra content to get the "real" ending. So, forgive my "not enthusiasm" for future DAs, especially since the keyboard+mouse controls were even lass the meh!....

Andromeda, has potential as the ME IP has not screwed up the PC input controls yet... perhaps the extra months may be put to good use... I understand that the manager for both Canadian studios is the same person, so it may be wishful thinking on my part.

Having said all of this, I am hoping that the future games are awesome and that the studios don't forget how to properly code for the PC input controls.

                                                                                      <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>>

So, you take pseudo 3D graphics that require special glasses then blow the screen to cinema theatre like size and you get 4D?  Oh, wait... 4D = large and 4k resolution. Also, the industry is currently working on 8K streaming, I guess marketing has to call it 5D. I'm unsure about the "holographic" part since the content is viewed using a 3D LED screen.

Another confirmation why I'm skeptical about marketing practices and their message.... sort of like The Donald tapping into the anger of the rank and file.

Is the Mass Effect: New Earth video (from the tweet link) about the ability to navigate through a meteor field without getting smashed into a pulp?  Showing off the FB3 engine? Just wondering.

I don't think frostbite has much to do with it. It's a ride at a theme park and likely doesn't effect the canon much if any. It's something fans get to experience, without taking resources away from the Andromeda team, and I for one am excited about it.

My guess is "Shepard" (and co.?) will jump out from behind the crowd at some point, move through the audience shooting some onscreen rachni/geth/etc...

The whole "4D" moniker is just meant to represent the extras for this theatre "ride" - moving/rumbling seats and so on... I've been on a number of these kinds of rides before and they all have their little extras. Think of it as a 3D video rollercoaster.

Mass Effect: The Musical.

Performed by Tali Zorah, Urdnot Wrex and Thane Krios. Featuring Peter Dinklage as "The Catalyst."

Written by Jacqueline Nought and choreographed by Commander Shepard; This promises to be one of the most emotionally moving theatre experiences since Fleet & Flotilla took to the stage 3 years ago.

See what critics are calling a memorable journey that promises to have to you on the edge of your seat till just minutes before the credits roll.

See Mass Effect......the musical.

This makes me sad because I really don't want the Inquisitor to be like hawke in dai (ill never forgive them for that).

Nobody said it's wrong to not be excited about DA4. That depends on people's opinion on the previous game/games and where the franchise is going (despite the shortcomings of DAI, the direction they're going with the plot, as well as the reveals in both the end of the game and the dlc is very interesting to me, expecially because I wasn't expecting them to reveal that some of the Thedosian's various 'gods' are real).

Though it was obvious Bioware was going to develop another one.
