Nobody said it's wrong to not be excited about DA4. That depends on people's opinion on the previous game/games and where the franchise is going (despite the shortcomings of DAI, the direction they're going with the plot, as well as the reveals in both the end of the game and the dlc is very interesting to me, expecially because I wasn't expecting them to reveal that some of the Thedosian's various 'gods' are real).
Though it was obvious Bioware was going to develop another one.
Talking about dlc : honestly, doing big revelations on dlc is really a lack of respect for people who bought the game and spent hours on it.
Like when I saw the bad guy on DAI and asked me "who's that? wtf, Varric seems to know him from DA2.. *asking people around*.... wait, my Hawke did what ???". So it was form DA2 dlc, dlc I never bought because I like DA but not enough to spend more money on it. It's a way to push people to buy more and more stuff and it's wrong to do it that way "don't buy and I you will miss important things".
They did that on ME2 with "Arrival". As much as I loooove ME (and bought everything I could, which include all the dlc) I felt a bit sad they did the link from ME2 to ME3 with a dlc. Many friends at the beginning of ME3 where like "whaaaaat ? Shepard has a trial? what happened ?"... yes, buy "Arrival" ....
Not really respectuful for the players IMO.
DA4... ? I prefer a new MEA trilogy. I can't get enough of space ![]()
