Well done as usual, I would request if you get the chance sometime to do one of these with Caroline Livingstone the ace voice over director. I think that would be very interesting.
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it, as always ![]()

He forgot to mention the #1 reason to document, "In case I get hit by a bus on the way to work." At least that is my #1 reason.
Did I? Or does that fit under the banner of someone not being able to work on it anymore? ![]()
Ah yes, "BioWare people posting here", we have dismissed that claim.
XD ah, sorry councillor, I just realized the title under your name/icon. Yes, it took me hours => I totally assume how slow I am sometimes, story of my life.
But you know what ? It's actually pretty nice to realize that people from BW come here sometimes ~
yes twitter thread, I know.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody!
Yes my message is late but I was at the parades. So a toast to my fellow ME countrymen/women here and everyone else who has a lil bit of Irish blood in em or would like too!
I don't have anything green to wear today. ![]()
Either way, yes. Happy St. Patrick's Day forums.
Today @AarynFlynn proved that he likes graphs and action items more than SHOOTING LASERS. So much disappointment.
I will make up for it tomorrow!
I had the build prepped and ready with deep love and care just for you! DEEP LOVE AND CARE, @AarynFlynn.
In my defense, there were a LOT of graphs and action items. Like, so many.
Jos owning everyone is music to my ears.

Miranda in Andromeda, semi-confirmed rumour?
Okay so at least this JOS guy, who is apparently a Bioware dev, has restored my faith in the fact that Andromeda is actively being worked on.
However, each quest or mission has a writer and producer and all that jazz.....but with no lead writer and only "documentation" to hold them together, I begin to fear we do not have a leader who is enforcing a Master Vision. Will it have heart? Will it have that special captivating enchantment that the original trilogy had - a defining cohesiveness that emanates from a production in which disparate departments are orchestrated by key members?
If the key members have departed, what hope do we have ;___;
It's very easy to look at the (extremely limited) information and news that comes out of Bioware and freak out about the state of the game, I think that freaking out would be an overreaction. For every piece of what looks like bad news, there are probably twenty success stories that they can't tell us about.
Just because the lead writer left around mid to late last year doesn't mean that they've been without someone coordinating writing for six months - in all likelihood somebody else would've been hired or promoted. I expect that Chris Schlerf had probably finished most of the writing he'd been hired to do, anyway. By all accounts the lead writer isn't even very high up in the developer hierarchy - they still report to a design lead, and a project lead, and ultimately the studio lead and head of the company.
And without disparaging the work and accomplishments of the people who left (if I remember, a writer, an editor and a development director?), it's not like three people out of a team of hundreds are absolutely critical to the success or failure of the game. A development team that hinged on the personal genius of a few people is hardly professional or sustainable - the whole point of a team is that it's the joint effort that makes the magic happen. It's true that an individual's personal vision or ambition might be extremely important for getting a game off the ground (Casey Hudson and Mass Effect), but it's presuming a lot to think that without one particular person everything will just fall apart. The game might even be better for having new voices and different people in charge for a bit.
Ultimately, we just don't know what the game is like yet, whether it's good, or whether it's justified to panic about the news we've heard (or not heard) recently. I think it's still a little early to assume the worst, though,
They needed to hire this guy to deal Miranda in Mass Effect 2 it seems.
Bah~ The pine cone beat me to the punch....you win this one. (shakes fist)

Oh my god, the key members have not departed. One lead writer left after working on the game for a year. Someone else who had been working under him for that year probably took over whatever remained of his duties.
Are you for real?
