Indeed?
DA:I suffers from the "Hare Hopping Cliffs design" and broke pathfinding ( according to ML ). I can only conclude that HHC design was dropped in ME:A.
A working pathfinding solution is a good thing. Now what does this say about the hero's squaddies and exploration that requires it?.... hm.....maybe those caves are bigger and more complex than I anticipated. I hope much better that DA2's.

Oh my god, the key members have not departed. One lead writer left after working on the game for a year. Someone else who had been working under him for that year probably took over whatever remained of his duties.
Are you for real?
Beside, while the lead writer is certainly important (but I don't see why another writer on the team wouldn't have already took charge of the writing team), it's the lead designer who enforces the 'Master Vision' or whatever, since the lead writer is under the lead designer. Gaider explained that very well in his blog series about game development.

I hope they do butts in ME:A equal or better than ME3. Tali, Edi and Miranda assas are sooo perfect. Well, i'm sure liara's one is too but we couldn't see it properly due to the clothes ![]()
I'm not sure how garrus and James do in battle actually since i didn't pick them in the missions for the most part of the game

Talking about dlc : honestly, doing big revelations on dlc is really a lack of respect for people who bought the game and spent hours on it.
Like when I saw the bad guy on DAI and asked me "who's that? wtf, Varric seems to know him from DA2.. *asking people around*.... wait, my Hawke did what ???". So it was form DA2 dlc, dlc I never bought because I like DA but not enough to spend more money on it. It's a way to push people to buy more and more stuff and it's wrong to do it that way "don't buy and I you will miss important things".
They did that on ME2 with "Arrival". As much as I loooove ME (and bought everything I could, which include all the dlc) I felt a bit sad they did the link from ME2 to ME3 with a dlc. Many friends at the beginning of ME3 where like "whaaaaat ? Shepard has a trial? what happened ?"... yes, buy "Arrival" ....
Not really respectuful for the players IMO.
DA4... ? I prefer a new MEA trilogy. I can't get enough of space
I'm super late, but I didn't see anyone answer this so here I am! While I can't talk for Hawke and DA2 Legacy, the Arrival mission is never done by Shepard if you didn't buy the DLC. Instead, Admiral Hackett sent a team to do that mission. It still happens, but your Shepard wasn't involved if you didn't buy it. The reason Shepard has a trial in ME3 regardless of that DLC is, well.... working for a known terrorist faction in ME2 which everyone would have experienced if they played the game. That's a preeeeeetty good reason to put someone on trial.

Hu? I never tried to play ME3 without Arrival, as I said I bought all the ME dlc.
Anyways when I had that discussion with friends who never bought Arrival, they where all very surprised when I told them what happened on my game, so they told me something was actually missing on their story... Need to launch ME3 without my previous saves to see what's really going on.
Thank you for your reply.
Also, if you want to talk more about this, please send a message, Twitter thread, you know. Thanks.

Setting up level streaming for a mission is a complicated beast. I did a lot of setup work for art streaming for this mission last week.
And today, I'm trying to figure something out that has the potential to be a pain in my ass until everything's done. Except, I apparently...
... already did setup work exactly for that problem, and now it's actually pretty straightforward to do. Thanks, past Jos.
Normally Past Jos is an *******, but this time he really came through for me.

Moment of truth, setting up a full mission worth of art streaming, and then just letting it try and function for the first time. (it won't)
Well, surprising myself here, I was wrong. The art streaming just works! That was suspiciously easy...
Did not even have any parts that "pop in" while you're looking at it. It's like the streaming just doesn't exist. (It does, I checked)
@Sjosz Good work mate. (We try to make it easy sometimes...
)
Don't worry, I'm sure something went wrong and it's not meant to work
the bug is that it's working
Right! Officially not fixing anything for you miseries till you cheer up! ![]()
Thank you for your compliment, man. I'm merely suspicious because things this complicated shouldn't work out the gate
but really I think it speaks to how good we're getting with this FrostBite thing. I have to dive into your levels sometime!
